This is a good selection, however Country Joe And The Fish - Electric Music For The Body And Mind is probably the most obvious omission. I would have also included July by July, Tangerine Dream by (UK) Kaleidoscope and Churchills by The Churchills.

I was getting anxious you wouldn't mention The Zombies' Odessey and Oracle. What a banger

What a great Top 25 collection. I've got 23 of them. In a Top 25, I will include the first album of Traffic "Mr Fantasy" and the only album by the band Tomorrow (original band of futur Yes member Steve Howe). And for good measure, "The Who Sell Out"

Great video and list. Glad to see you include 13th Floor Elevators from my hometown of Houston, TX. Although, I go with their second album, Easter Everywhere.

I was in 7th grade (late 80s) when a friend was telling me about Sgt. Pepper's. The next day, he gave me a cassette tape of the album and told me to give it a listen. That was the first time I heard any song from The Beatles. I've been hooked ever since. The first step in a life long journey, and I absolutely love being able to remember the first time I heard them.

The Monkees Head soundtrack is a very trippy and great album. Os Mutantes also made fantastic Psychedelic Rock albums

The Jimi Hendrix Experience • Electric Ladyland was recorded predominantly at the Record Plant in NYC two years prior to the opening of Jimi’s own studios, Electric Lady Studios.

Great list. I never thought of Pink Flpyd as a progressive band. They're psychedelic indeed. So I'd include their second album, A Saucerful of Secrets, to this list, a very very psychedelic one. In addition, I'd like to say that we can't forget a very good brazilian acid band from the final years of the 60's: Os Mutantes. Their 4 or 5 first albums are outstanding, man! A crazy trip in sound and lyrics. Ok, they sang in Portuguese, but try to translate them, you'll be delighted, I'm sure.

About Moby Grape, the record company had this crazy idea of releasing 5 singles and the album on the same day!
The Elevators are the ultimate psychedelic band, they recorded on acid!

Great list. I'm happy to see I have so many, as this really does feel like a solid base. In my personal list I would add the Fugs 'It Crawled into my Hand, Honest' - normally a folk-punk band, but this later album is a great psych masterpiece (of weirdness). I'd go with the 2nd Elevators, 'Easter Everywhere' which has a more refined psych sound (though would also keep the 1st). And the second Red Krayola (God Bless the Red Krayola...), always find it weird that the first gets all the attention, when the second is a better listen.

Great selection, and not only are you so beautiful but you introduce a Beautiful dog into the mix. 😅 ❤

My favorite songs on Odessey are Care of Cell 44 and Hung Up On A Dream.

I love your list, the Group 1850 album i would have chosen would be Amego's Trip to Mother Earth. I would also put Music Emporium in 1969 California and some day the very first Lady Drummer. Great Underground Psych album with swirling organs. Cheers.

Great list, but you missed one of the absolute best by omitting Electric Music for the Mind and Body by Country Joe and the Fish!! Maybe you could do a list of the neo-psyche from the 80s to the present - plenty of mind boggling music!

Excellent list. But you forgot Amon Düül II - Phallus Dei. It's shure Krautrock, but one of the most psychedelic records i have ever heard. They where heavy on substances.

Sgt. Peppers for me as well. She's leaving home, being for the benefit of mr Kite and within you without you are absolute bangers.

This album gives me goosebumps just thinking about it

Donovan - Hurdy gurdy man. Iron butterfly - Indagadadavida, It’s a Beautiful Day- White Bird ( maybe not psychedelic), Moody Blues - Tuesday afternoon. I was born in Hollywood , CA in 1966 to Hippie parents . The above was played all the time . Also just want to mention Jefferson Airplane’s “Today” is an incredible song as well as “ Coming back to me “. I enjoyed and still enjoy “ psychedelic rock “ but never used drugs .. it isn’t mandatory in order to enjoy this genre !
