Tangerine Dream - all albums 1972-79.

You did well again, despite the challenge. Personally, I miss seeing Manuel Göttsching or Ash Ra Tempel, and perhaps another Klaus Schulze album considering the influence they had on some key artists that hit the spotlight in the late seventies / early eighties.

My three favorite German electronic albums are: Ashra - New Age of Earth & Blackouts and Michael Hoenig - Departure from the Northern Wasteland. Amazing albums.

I am so glad that you got Propagandas "A secret wish" on your list. To me it's one of the essential 80s albums!

Das hast du toll gemacht!!! Of course, you can argue about one album or another and wonder why this or that one isn't included, but there are more than 25 good albums from Germany, and you just have to make a choice. Oh, and by the way, many Germans consider Udo Jürgens is a German, but he's Austrian. Just like Freddy Quinn, he sings sea shanties, but he's also Austrian. Dein deutsch ist großartig, besser als viele die hier leben. Danke für dieses Video aus🇩🇪

Phaedra is good. I’ve been listening to Klaus Schulze’s more recent work lately and enjoying it. I saw that Friedkin film a long time ago, but I didn’t know Tangerine Dream did the music for it.

You are SO RIGHT about the album Forever Young, it is a masterpiece. And special thanks for mentioning the song "Summer in Berlin" which I also love very much.

RAINBIRDS SEA OF TIME ( 1989) IS MY FAV

Manuel Göttsching – E2-E4 : Recorded in a single, unedited 58-minute take in December 1981, released in 1984, is considered one of the most important albums in music history because it serves as the definitive bridge between 1970s classical minimalism and modern electronic dance music (EDM). Original (1984) 1st Pressings are expensive, but i would recommend the 1987, 2nd Pressing, (appears to be pressed using the exact same lacquer/metal mother as the 1984 original). If you are seeking the authentic, original analog sound of E2-E4, it is safest to stick to these 1980s AAA vinyl pressings rather than modern , remastered, versions.

It is outstanding that how many German bands such as Kraftwerk and can inspired so many bands and musical genres. My favorites are Alphaville afternoons in utopia forever young is a fantastic debut this is something else entirely and a lovely listening experience. Neu!75 hero is what got me hooked what a guitar intro. Can Im such a huge fan today it's tago mago the first time I heard this album I was blown away there's nothing like can they take a few listens and after that you are totally rewarded with some fantastic soundscapes.
