A Bug’s Life doesn’t get nearly as talked as some of Pixar’s other big films, but for the studio’s second film, it holds up well.

"Well, don't feed the old one, he's useless." fuck, that made me laugh too hard

title should’ve been seb loving dot for 38 minutes straight

Not only is this a great movie, I love how well they showed the perspective of a bug. They managed to make rain actually scary with how they filmed the movie. Well, "filmed".

To be fair, flick never lied: He said he was gonna go out to get BIGGER BUGS and he did! Not to mention, they still stayed to help fight, thus turning into warrior bugs by default.

Fun Fact: the Flea is the same actor who does Hamm in Toy Story

Growing up in this generation of pixar movies was honestly such a treat

I don’t blame Seb for roastin’ Atta, the Queen and all the other ants. Cause even though Flick lied about the circus bugs (despite not knowing at first that they were circus performers), at least he did something to fix the ants’ current situation with the grasshoppers.

animated bloopers make a movie so much better loll

To be fair the queen ants main purpose is to constantly lay eggs since the workers die so quickly (they dont have long life spans). She also tends to stay underground in the nest since if she dies, the entire colony will die out.

Hopper is one of the best villans in cinema and I will die on that hill.

I'm 31 and this is still one of my childhood favorite movies absolutely love it

5:29 ‘’You too busy looking gooorrgeous ‘’ ahh seb never change 😂😂😂😂😂

PIXAR's second film still holds up to this day.

Yes, as a little kid the grasshoppers were LEGIT scary and definitely snuck into some nightmares.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that the smallest bug of the bunch not only had the guts to square up with what he thought was a real bird....but he also probably would have won if that was the real deal.

Fun fact Dot is played by baby Hayden panettiere!

One little detail about Hopper’s death was that earlier in the film he said that Atta “Didn’t smell like the queen” while using his antennas to smell her, then only moments before the death scene when trying to save Flik, Tuck and Roll pulled one of his antennas off which meant most likely had lost a good part of his sense of smell and couldn’t detect the bird was actually real until it shrieked at him

BYOB - Bring Your Own Beer (or Bugs in this case)

To successfully kill fleas, you need a temperature of over 95 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 48 hours. Meaning if he'd been continuously exposed to the flame, then he would've died.
