Still waiting for the Turtle to pull the face

Unbelievably underrated animated film. My childhood.

Fun Fact: this movie is what started the phenomenon of naming something Steve to make it less scary.

Fun fact the bear Vincent is actually the bear they used in the bee movie court scene. And technically this was an easter egg in the bee movie since this film came out one year before the bee movie

this movie was my childhood 😂 and not talked about enough

The soundtrack goes absolutely nuts

And you will never a turtle without a shell irl! The shell is part of their body, not just an "accessory" that they put on. It is a bit ironic that the movie has a running bit about people not knowing turtles are reptiles instead of amphibians, yet the filmmakers didn't research enough to know turtles' shells aren't removable :P Or maybe they just made it that way for the naked butt joke

anyway, this movie is a classic, always fun to revisit!

22:39 You were wondering about what the Persian cat said about not smelling anything because of his beautiful face.
It's because as a cat specie that has been bred to be certain way, many of them can have trouble even just to breat through nose.
This animated cat seemed to have 'just' trouble with the sense of smell.
It's terrible, that's why many people are against over doing the breeding.
Those poor animal races that face this same kind of troubles. 😥

This movie is such an underrated gem, and it deserves all the love!

First Hoodwinked, now Over The Hedge. We are in a supersonic squirrels (pre-caffeine) world now.

21:03 This exact "THX" sound marked EVERY movie opening I watched as a kid, if it wasn't the classic blue-background silver Disney castle with 2-D Tinkerbell, or Luxo the Lamp jumping on the "i" in "Pixar." Hearing it again brings back SOOOO many memories.

I can't even begin to count how many times I've seen this movie 😂

That lady was the OG Karen

Honestly one of the most underrated movies I’ve ever seen. Never heard a single person talk about it. Found it completely by coincidence scrolling through netflix

It blows my mind how underrated this movie is. This film is my childhood. It’s a shame no one talks about it.

Rest in peace
Roger Ebert 1942-2013
Harold Ramis 1944-2014
Garry Shandling 1949-2016
and Gene Wilder 1933-2016, Harold Ramis was initially considered for the voice of RJ and Gene Wilder was offered a role in the film as well

I just realized a detail about this movie, but in the scene where the Depelter Turbo activates (Near the end of the movie) you can see the dark side of the Earth with a bunch of lights from various cities and towns, like how you would normally expect.
However, you can rapidly see the lights blinking out, suggesting that the DT took so much power from the power lines, that the entire country lost power. To be honest, it was kind of expected that would happen, since it created a laser that blew up an orbiting satellite, alongside creating enough light to be seen from a galaxy view.

I used to always compare the Animal Catcher in this movie to the Exterminator in "The Ant Bully" you should really react to it, it's another underrated classic
