Battering a man to death whilst swimming and coming back dry as a bone carrying his crucifix.

Now that’s Harpering

General Calvet and Gaston’s relationship in the series is some of my favourite character interaction.

Being the episode to originate the phrase of "That's soldiering", now that's soldiering!

Sharpe correcting his wife’s Shakespeare quote. Now that’s soldiering

Having references to the "that's soldiering" quote as the top comments on that episode, now that's soldiering!

It's the soldering episode lads, where our most famous memes started all those years ago during that awful thing we called lockdown.

Always a pleasure to see Mark Strong, who puts in a fantastic performance as Zara, The Gypsy Girl

Essentially whoever we're introduced to in the first 5 minutes of an episode who it's taken for granted 'on side' turns out to be either the spy or the traitor

Sitting on a horse wearing a leather hood and cowboy hat, while declaring, 'That's not soldiering', now THAT'S soldiering!

Honestly, Captain Crake went out like a proper Soldiering Officer, slashing and thrashing at the French until death, only brought down in the end by several different bayonets. Not a bad way to go considering the alternative was likely being executed in disgrace. RIP

Brilliant series. The way the British used and treated so badly,it is no wonder why the Irish hate us.Time they got respect they deserved after the way they fought for Wellington and the King.I am Scottish, but sad to say we treated them no better.Time for the recognition they deserve.
