Thank you for making this great video.
Sprout was a beautiful channel and it deserves to be remembered and preserved.

I was a HUGE Sprout kid. My mom told us kids that if we woke up before she did, don't wake her, just go downstairs and tune the TV to Channel 119,  which was Sprout in my area. Sprout meant a lot to me because I was also a huge fan of Thomas the Tank Engine, and while PBS aired the HiT era episodes, Sprout had the "good" episodes from Seasons 1 through 7 which I could tell were superior even back then. Thanks to Sprout I was able to grow up on classic Thomas.

Sprout and Qubo had a similar story of being mistreated and slowly sent to die by owners who had no idea what to do with them.

Sprout being taken off was like 9/11 for us neurodivergents. We want it back!

I’m 16, and I had completely forgotten all about Sprout until this video. Sucks to see that a big part of my early years was ruined by greedy corporations. :(

Great video as always SnipeSnap

I had shows like Thomas, Bob The Builder, Angela Ballerina, Caillou, Sid The Science Kid, Kipper, Teletubbies, Barney and Super Why back in my childhood years air on PBS Kids Sprout.

Corporate greed will always kill happiness and security.

Every time I get reminded of Sprout I get sad especially knowing what we have nowadays. Sprout was so creative with its presentation, had such an inviting and calming feeling surrounding it. You could tell the people actually working on those shows and programs had a passion for this kind of stuff

From the skits with Chica and her bubbly personality to Nina making drawings from grains of sand to sooth Star, I’ll always remember and miss them

Sprout was one of the biggest parts of my childhood until I was 9. It had a personality that no other channel I've seen has had, and it stuck with me for life. To see it all get ripped out by greed makes my heart sink... 💔

I was one of the viewers of PBS Kids Sprout as a kid, and now it was gone to the brim of the grave. Can't believe it got rebranded and I ditched away after seeing it.

R.I.P. my childhood, I miss watching Nina’s world on sprout

I’m from america, and was born 2002 so I had the og sprout. Weirdly enough though, my fav part was the compilation of characters sleeping after the GN show to signal to kids that it was time for bed. I felt like I was at the most heavenly slumber party with all my favorite characters and even if a show or character wasn’t my favorite, i felt a connection with them. and I don’t want to sound like a stalker when I say this, but I liked watching them sleep as a little kid, as it was relaxing and just in the present moment of it all.

Anyone can name five shows from Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and PBS Kids, nobody could name one show from Universal Kids

I was a teenager at the peak of Sprout's life, and while it was mostly around to soothe my younger brother, it served as an amazing way to wind down and wake up for myself! Even now at almost 30 I find myself watching the toothbrush song from the Goodnight Show before bed just for the vibes!

Thank goodness I grew up with Sprout

Loved watching PBS Kids Sprout when I was a preschooler!

Stop watching it in November 2013 once PBS sold their share, which led to the “PBS KIDS” part on the logo being phased out permanently in the on screen graphics.

I grew up watching Sprout, I was sad when Sprout rebranded when I was only 9, and Universal Kids shut down last year when I was only 17.

As a young adult I found Sprout to be a easy way to wind down during the evening with the Good Night show. I have grown accustomed to "white noise" to help me drift off to sleep and Sprout was perfect! I didn't have to be concerned with a violent program coming on at random to disturb me. Just soothing and uplifting shows. Then in the morning I got ready for work with the Good Morning crew.
It may seem silly but even as an adult having that soothing Good Night to fall asleep and then the perky Good Morning energy helped to set the day.

I remember sprout
But I never knew it was owned by PBS

I grew up with PBS Kids Sprout as a kid back in the 2000’s, and it was the channel that had introduced me to some UK shows like Noddy, Fireman Sam, Fifi & the Flowertots, Roary the Racing Car or James the Cat and also a worldwide phenomenon from Switzerland called Pingu.

That channel was the springboard for my major interest in other British children’s content, more than just Thomas the Tank Engine. I don’t think I would ever be into much British children’s content if it weren’t for Sprout.
