So wow… I at all, was not expecting this video to become this popular!

I wasn’t even at the slightest thinking it was going to get over 1,000 views, but it somehow did! It also (currently as of writing this) 4.1k likes which is mental to me. Thank you all so much!

Now, I am going to discuss the major elephant in the room that is the video’s audio and pronunciation of certain words…

I have a very not-so-well mic that I’ve been using (trying to get money to buy a BETTER mic!) to do these videos. I’ve been seeing many on the comments pointing out the mic audio is quite muffle, has awkward noises ans is not the greatest. I do 100% agree that the audio in this video isn’t great, and I am sorry about that. It’s in between the high and low volume as well…

I can understand it is irritating as well, I will admit I was in quite a rush with the video due to having college work and preparing some stuff. It was all a rush-about session trying to get the video out!

I noticed too that some people were confused on the pronunciation of certain words. I have a Scottish accent, so a lot of the words I pronounce are a bit odd, I am also sorry about that - it’s the way I’ve been speaking since growing up.

Whilst I am taking the constructive advice of trying to speak more clearly and get a new microphone… there has been so many cruel and cold-hearted messages from viewers sending death threats and even wishing cancer upon me, which is quite fucked up. I know a lot of people have seen this video and it’s my most viral video I’ve uploaded (which I was not expecting to happen), so I do understand that there are going to be a lot of negative and disgusting comments here. But for someone to wish death and cancer upon one for not having great audio in there videos, it is not great.

But then and again, this is social media an the internet- not everyone is going to be kind and sweet online, and I do expect there to be quite a LOT of comments giving off heat. But all I am saying is, the comments making death threats and wishing for me to get cancer, I will be removing them, as it is just sad. It’s sickening for someone to which for such a sad thing like cancer on someone. Especially giving that I’ve lost many relatives due to cancer and I’m sure many people seeing this post have lost friends and family members to it which is quite sad.

Even make it simple: If you don’t like the video, then you don’t need to watch it, I am pretty sure that there are WAY better channels that could make these similar videos. I am a small content creator - and the only reason I wanted this video to go out is so people can share memories and their experience with these shows and controversies in the comment section.

I am aware that I really didn’t give out any proper opinion on the Rastamouse controversy. I just kind of summoned up what the parents complained about, but I do love Rastamouse it was what I watched every day coming back home for school and it’s amazing! - I also am aware of the error of the info that I mentioned like saying Sarah Jane Honey-Well got fired in 2021, but it was actually 2011 - mistakes and error are bound to happen!

I will admit, my content isn’t the greatest, it isn’t a working masterpiece, there are a lot of flaws in these video I do, like I said before - not a good microphone, have odd pronunciation of words due to my Scottish accent snd also that I’ve got asthma which can cause struggles in bits where I am following the scripts.

But besides the death threats, people mocking it and even cancer threats, I’m happy there are people who have enjoyed the video - and with this feedback, I can learn to make these videos way more. I am fingers crossed I’ll get a new microphone so my audio isn’t muffly.

I used to be really freaked out by missing limbs and amputations as a little kid, seeing Cerrie on tv every day actually stopped that fear, that’s why representation on kids tv is so important

No, parents, the cheese is not their equivalent of marijuana. They’re mice. 🫩

God forbid the BBC be inclusive and actually hire someone to present who has a physical disability. Those parents who complained are ignorant af. Good on her for not letting her disability stop her from pursuing a career on tv and as an author!

My mum just told me “some people are born with one hand” it’s literally that simple.

I genuinely think that Cerrie Burnell is the reason that all of my classmates were understanding and accepting of my mother's disability. Without her, they might have been afraid of my mum or asked rude questions, but instead they didn't take much notice

Kids don't care about disabilities. Sure, they might ask questions like "why does that lady have one arm?" but that's it. The parents are most likely the ones who had a problem with it, let's be real.

It's completely possible for children to be frightened about disabilities, but it's your job as a parent to talk to them openly about it to help put their mind at rest. Hiding disability from their view will only make it harder for them to deal with in the real world.

The parents complaining about Burnell probably just didn’t want to actually parent and explain things to their kids. The stupidity of parents truly knows no bounds.

for goodness sake man! the Cerrie Burnell stuff is disgraceful, the parents that complained really need to get a grip. This is why representation is so important in media in general.

I remember Carrie Brunel. My mum worked with disabled children so I understood what disability meant. It is very easy to explain to small children what a disability is. I’m autistic and although my disability isn’t easy to visualise, my little niece still understands how it makes my brain work differently compared to hers.

Ableist people are also dramatically scared of the very little things. Especially disabled people! I’m Autistic, and I don’t know why people hate Carrie. All she does is teach kids, and yet they think she’s a criminal for having an arm nub. I honestly feel bad for Carrie. She was too kind-hearted for this.

The biggest controversy was giving me, an Irish person, a British accent as a small child.

But I always loved Rastamouse as a child. I had no idea it was attached to a controversy!
