King Arthur and Merlin are legends of Britanny.

Carnac rocks were placed there by neolithic people back in -5000 to -4000 BC§ There are thousands of them, as well as "tumulus" which are tombs made of stone and covered by artifical hills, of the same periods

Omg you guys cracks me up. The timber framed houses are found in the East of France indeed but also in Brittany. I live in a gorgeous village, Rochefort-en-Terre, check it out!

I live in Bretagne. They have their own culture and language they are very proud of. I had a Welsh neighbour who spoke Welsh and he told me if you know Welsh, you can understand the Bretagne language. I love living here.

00:12 vous commencez mal les gars vous commencez mal... et quel enfilage de perles, gast!

Breizh Atao

La luminosité en Bretagne est vraiment particulièrement belle en vidéo et photo très belle région

Sorry, guys... The ''aqueduc'' you saw in the Morlaix segment had nothing to do with the Romans... It's a railway viaduct, builded from 1861 and 1863, when the first train rided it. Speaking of myself, I live in Quimper, and if you spot the house with plates hanging on it's front, (appearing just after the inner sight of the cathedral, the building of which started in the very first years of the 12th century), think  about the date of it's construction : 1462 ! Colombus was not even thinking of crossing the Atlantic to discover America - well, in fact, he didn't discover anything at all : the Vikings were there four centuries before him. Quimper is a renown place for its faience production since the 14th century, the shop at the base of this house is one of the most interesting place to buy some - this is why you can see some plates hanging on the front, and, yes, the house is still inhabited (by the owners of the shop on the ground floor). Some of your followers seem to be intrigued by the flag : it's the ''Gwenn ha du'' (in bretton language, meaning ''white and black'') and it's the Brittany flag : Brittany used to be an independent duchy till the marriage of Anne, the bretton duchess, with the king of France Louis XII in 1499. If you ever decide to cross the pond and visit Brittany, tell me about it !

On vous attend!! Il faut venir l été et faire les music festival!!!🎉🎉🎉

there are also very impressive music and dance festivals, where hundreds of Bretons pay tribute to their culture.
you will be able to see very beautiful old costumes, music concerts, traditional dances, and very important rock festivals.
This brings together thousands of spectators.

La Bretagne is magnificent! whether the coast or the interior. The landscapes are all different, but full of myths and legends. Breton culture is rich. The stones you saw are menhirs, they date from the Neolithic period and represent the first civilizations. It's an incredible region. Half-timbered or half-timbered houses were built mainly during the early Middle Ages. Unfortunately, some have not stood the test of time, and many are still found in France and not only in the north. Bonne journée

If you want to see a lot of timber-framed houses, come to Alsace on the Eastern part of France. There are a lot of them.
You will have problems looking for some mythical typical 'French' towns and houses. It is probably the country with the most varied landscapes and climates, situated as it is between Northern and Southern Europe. From the Flanders to French Catalonia and Provence, from the deep forests in our Germanic regions to Celtic Brittany ,without mentioning all the other regions. Welcome to visit our small but extremely varied land.

the architecture with the old houses with the wooden beams in the walls are linked to medieval times - they exist in ALL of Europe.   these are not linked to a place but to a time period.

In the medieval period, many houses in France were timber-framed. These houses were fragile and prone to fires; some still remain in certain regions such as Alsace, Brittany, Normandy, etc. Alsace is also a very beautiful region with Colmar, Strasbourg, etc.

I live in Brest, thank you very much for setting up my country.
Brittany for me is :
- a old culture (different from the French)
- a language, Breton is spoken
- very good food (see "Crêpe brertonne", "Kig ha Farz", "Paté Hénaff", "Kouign Amann (Cake with butter and sugar), sauce "caramel au berre salé")
- Lots of music festival

Merci beaucoup les amis

Hey guys, thanks for promoting our beautiful Brittany region. BZH29 Crozon 😘

I live in brittany ils sont beautiful

Many french people never have been to "La bretagne". I live between Rennes, Vannes and Nantes. The area where I live has not the same life feeling than the near Brest one; and the north of this "La Bretagne" region by La Manche coast is not the same too. And the sights of north west french Landscapes are divine.

Bonjour à tous ,il y a un coin à voir absolument en Bretagne c'est Rochefort en Terre ( élu plus beau village de France)

The historical Brittany counts an other department that was separated from the rest when the first regions were drawn, it's the Loire Atlantique. One of its former capitals, Nantes, is even situated there.
