2:15 The 3.6L V6 is actually fast especially in sport mode

I’m a simple man - I see (1st gen) Cayenne video, I like.

Went and looked at an 04 Turbo today. Guy was asking $8,800 Canadian and it had 230,000kms. Wholesale price for is like 3-4grand tops if your lucky for that year and kms. I wouldn't even really wanna pay 5 grand to be honest.  Even at that price, next week it could suddenly need a 1,2,3,4 thousand dollar repair at any given time. Just walked and he would probably be insulted by an offer like that but it's honestly realistic, no one will pay what he wants unless they are clueless.  Ya the engine seemed pretty smooth, and some work was done like coolant pipes, alternator, T flange, and some other little things but the thing is there was a good amount of rust on the bottom since it was winter driven and they use salt on roads, and at that age nearly 25 years old the suspension is rough, I mean its drivable but once your turn into a corner you can just feel its not what it used to be thats forsure. To have it driving very nice you would need to replace lots of suspension components basically an entire overhaul which isn't worth it for a car that has a lot of rust. I also have a 09 3.6L in pretty decent shape so If I do want another turbo it would have to be like an 09-10 from the states / rust free climate. Most of the ones in Canada are cooked from rust.

It's kind of like those mansions they give away in Italy for a couple thousand dollars... You just have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to restore them.

I spent 3500€ on my 3.2. Full service history, only 200.000km and a rather good option list for a small V6. Of course I did a service, as I always do, few things that were necessary and quite some things that weren't. All in all 1000€ with two new used 20" wheel sets, all the parts and service. Drives beautifully ever since, as expected. Own a V10 Touareg as well.

Great value cars, love them especially for towing and doing 4000km in two days with 3,5t in the tow. I also like how cheap parts are for the Cayenne compared to the Touareg, so plugs and coils were only 200€ for example. That's crazy cheap.

The air suspension is nice and driving it on original 20" Turbo Wheels with 275 tyres is still comfortable. I have the 20" Techno Wheels for winter with 275 tyres and it's so good. I had a Q7 4.2FSI and a L322 Range Rover TDV8 and the Cayenne is easily the best.

Funny how it works with these 3rd cars for $5000....go enjoy the drive!

I've been seriously considering one of these for dirt cheap, and even if the car has a trashed motor and transmission, just stick a small block L33 or LM4 and 4L60E in it and keep riding.

I bought my daughter the same color and specs with 18-inch turbo wheels and panoramic roof for 3700 bucks and an extra set of 18-inch turbo Wheels. Currently have to do the valve cover gasket. I'm also going to tackle the plastic cooling setup. Other than that she loves it. And my diesel has a lovely set of 18-inch turbo Wheels with all terrains. #winning

engine is the most reliable and longest life in the Cayenne... If it were a manual, and also had air suspension, it would be a lifetime keeper....

Lol a 3d printer would've saved you a ton of money

Just curious if you have any idea how antifreeze is fouling out cylinder 5 & 6 coil packs.  I have to pull those coil packs weekly to get the car to not  have misfires on those cylinders.  My 2005 has only 88K original miles, and still looks new.

What about towing capability?
