I bought a Mazda RX7 at an auction. Nobody bid on it as it wouldn't start.
I had it towed to the local Mazda dealer.
It turns out they put a toggle switch on the dash to turn off the fuel when turning the car off.
They were known to leak fuel into the cylinder when turned off thus flooding the rotary engine.
My repair cost $40 including the short towing.
I drove the car for 3 years and sold it for more than double what I purchased it for.
Best sports car ever.

Once you fix the problem of the drain, it's best to remove the front seats, take the carpet up and dry that entire area completely.

This is exactly how I fixed my kid's  Touareg from COPART, clean title, cleaned off the water, spliced the wires and we got ourselves a $1000 "poor man's" Cayenne🙌🙌🙌

Instead of weed whacker string to clear it, buy a roll of pvc water line for a fridge, almost the exact size of the hole, stiff enough to push out the clogs and also you can blow air through it. Works way better.

This repair went so well it's time to get another Range Rover on the channel.

I got an old '89 honda civic hatchback out of the woods one time by just putting a battery in it.
The guy just wanted it off his property and said "if you can get her to start, she's yours".
After the new battery was in then it fired right up and I drove it out of the grass that was growing over it and went to the dmv and got it put in my name.
I called it the swamp monster haha

Sam - still doing the best advertising transitions in the business.

You've paid 700 bucks on a car that people were too LAZY to fix it... well done!

Car: lots of water related problems.  Sam: I'll fix it in the rain.

I bought a Buick with an electronic display that didn't work. I bought it for 600 dollars. I took a dime out of the cigarette lighter, put in a new fuse and everything lit up. Drove it for years and sold it to a friend for 500.

You scored with this Porsche. 5 years ago I purchased a non-starting RAV4 for $2500, thinking I could do a quick fix like this. I spent 6 months and another two grand in parts trying to get it running. With no luck I sold it about a month later for less than what I originally bought it for. After that experience I am intimidated on buying another “junk” car. I am very happy that your gamble worked out.

13:32 The Porsche 924 and 944 were notorius for getting plugged and flooding the interior. That goes back 40+ years, they still have not found a solution.

$80k car built like a $12k car. It's a VW, why am I not surprised.

Optical illusion at 19:19 if you watch closely when he puts the car in reverse pay attention to the back ground. It looks like the car is driving forward

I love that this Cayenne has an interchangeable left hand/right hand driving position. Quite the feature. Very special.

Good...same applies to me..bought toyota prius for a $800...the owner decided to sell it because it was not running...bought it, took some readings to find out what was causing the triangle death,, found one voltage sensor wire was broken...so soldered it..boom the car is working very fine... no any issue.

Killer deal Sam. Easy wiring fix, drain cleaning. Polish the headlights, fix that code and you have a very nice Porsche to flip.

bro i swear this car was switching from right hand drive to left hand drive and back and forward

I detailed over 2000 vehicles of 2000 semi trucks and the one they got learned is when you have that amount of water even with that moisture tester you should remove all the seats and the carpet and the insulation because there’s a good chance there’s moisture underneath the insulation and the moisture tester, not reading it and there may be moisture and some other electrical connectors. You should remove all that and put a dehumidifier inside the vehicle otherwise you or someone will probably have issues with your electrical system in the future.
