Ink Ribbon

The star of one of the most important video game franchises in the gaming world is Solid Snake from, of course, Metal Gear Solid. As anyone who has ever played a Metal Gear Game will tell you, it has a lot of story and lore. Like.. a LOT of story and lore. The Bandana wearing legendary soldier is no exception, having more backstory and trivia than I ever imagined.

[3:07] Both Solid and Liquid Snake originally have blonde hair, yes.. but...

Liquid keeps his long blonde locks and (if I remember correctly) Campbell instructs Solid Snake to cut his short and dye it brown, so it that it'll be easier for people to tell who's who. I think this is explained in the MGS1 briefing tapes if you listen to all of it.

I wasn't ready for number one.

There was actually a reason for why Snake had darker hair.
Because David and Eli looked so similar, they decided to dye Snake's hair in addition to the trim to help differentiate them if they needed to.
It's either in the mission briefing or one of the early codec calls.

The game explicitly says Weiss Nae changes his hair he doesn't want to be mistaken for liquid he even gets a pair of scissors from Naomi

@Ori3ntal3Xpr3ss 4 years ago

The change of hair is said so he wasn’t to be confused with Liquid since they’re both foxhound and codenane Snake

6:52 "Heavy...Gear?"
What I wouldn't give to live in that timeline where Solid Snake wrote a Black Widow spy movie. Sure all the reviews would've just been "You're pretty good," but it would've been worth it.
And I love that while Kojima was trying to get other actors as Snake, Nintendo and Ford are like "Okay, but David Hayter is the definitive Snake."

Resident evil now medal gear all I need now is some robocop and this will be the a channel to surpass metal gear

I thought the reason for cutting his hair was so he didn't look more like liquid than he already did. Could of swore they mentioned it in a briefing or codec call lol
