Natsuki Subaru Is One Of The WEAKEST Characters In Re:Zero… So Why Is EVERYONE TERRIFIED OF HIM?
We know the truth about Subaru. We know about Return by Death, the countless failed loops, the horrific deaths, and the impossible situations he has to overcome before finally reaching the "correct" outcome.
But nobody else knows.
To everyone around him, Natsuki Subaru is a seemingly powerless teenager who somehow walks into impossible situations, predicts things nobody should know, defeats enemies far beyond his physical ability, and repeatedly becomes the key figure behind some of the greatest victories in Re:Zero history.
And eventually… people start asking the obvious question:
WHAT THE HELL IS NATSUKI SUBARU?
In this video, we're breaking down Subaru's reputation from the perspective of everyone who doesn't know about Return by Death, from his earliest days in Lugunica all the way through the Vollachia Empire, the Great Disaster, Arc 9, and the beginning of Arc 10.

With that said, quite a few characters understand RBD to differing levels, from Al and Echidna knowing the full ability, Roswaal intuiting it's a time loop, and Ram and most others probably understand that he has some sort of clairvoyance or precognition, or even just divine luck.
Honestly the crazier thing for people in Re:Zero would be that he has gained multiple authorities without going insane or dying to these overwhelming opponents.
He’s a monster
Conquest Subaru: "I am a victim of my own success"
"Do you WANT me, to go against you?"
And see if they have the courage to let him drop the ball
