all i remember is that there was a running joke in the life in the dreamhouse series where raquelle kept referring to chelsea as "kelly" lmao

I miss how the first three Barbie movies started with Barbie telling Kelly a story

Now it’s time to rank every version of RRRRRRRRAAAAQUELLE!!!!!!!

Honestly you can also rank barbie movies based on their message, that would be pretty nice, and that way you can also focus on the story, the character development and the overall writing aspect of the movies

The fact that Chelsea from Life in the Dream house isn’t number 1 is a crime

My favorite has always been Lacy. I was a chronically ill, quiet kid, so I really related to her. There are so few disability representations in fantasy, so I absolutely loved how she was the one to save the day, and how her sisters always took care of her. I also have an adorable blonde cousin named Lacy, which might be making me biased, but I loved the character before she was born anyway.

I’ve seen several people call Lacey annoying but I absolutely disagree with that and think people are too hard on her. I honestly feel like the people who call her annoying just can’t see a child get remotely upset about anything without calling them annoying. She just expressed emotions that children normally show, and it made sense for her to be upset about being the runt of the family. She was overall a sweetheart and like you said is the reason her dad was saved

16:58 they didn't change her name to modernize it they changed it because she was named Kelly in the US and Shelly in Europe and Asia due to pre-existing trademark and licensing conflicts so they wanted establish a single globally consistent name for her

Can you rank all  the brunette movie barbies?

Ranking the "Barbie's best friends/side characters" could be a fun idea

I have an idea you should rank all of the Barbie movies covers

I’m a teen so I grew up with her being referred to as Chelsea. Though since I’m a Barbie fanatic I definitely knew her original name was Kelly.
Side note: there wasn’t skipper,Stacey or Chelsea(or Kelly gag) in the live action Barbie movie. And I was very upset about that

I briefly worked with the motion capture actor who did all the movements for the Mouse King in Barbie Nutcracker. He didn’t voice the character, but he did all the body movements. It was really cool hearing him share that story.

I think ranking the Barbie movie settings would be interesting!

You could rank Barbie movie transformations

Kelly was renamed Chelsea bc mattel wanted her to have only 1 name.
Now she has two names, Chelsea Kelly.
I dont remember exactly in which region, I think that was in Europe, she had a different name, so they always changed to each region, and they wanted her to be recognized by only 1 name :)

Janessa and Lacey have been my favorites for literally ever, 12 dancing princesses is my favorite Barbie movie, so the triplets where a safe bet, but I think Lacey is adorable and Janessa is relatable 😂😂

as a current teen, i didnt even know her og sister was kelly..i thought Chelsea was always her like first little sister lmao

This is such a nitpick but I HATE the animation style for Princess Power. The faces are so sunken and bug eyed. I'll even take the janky barbie diaries animation style over princess power 😂 it just irks me

2:00 omg you so missed the point of hannah 😭 it's like a little barbie, like a person that barbie kinda sees herself in and she faces the same issues. truth, her screen time was maybe only about 2 minutes but there's so much more to her than her just being there. as a kid i liked this movie so much and i saw that little kid as me sort of 😔😔
