This song shows the fully armed Babymetal, their initial Eastern (Japanese) Kami (full metal) band, and their JPop girlie dancing and performance. This is the essence of Babymetal. They play this song at every concert until now.

Another amazing live performance by Babymetal is Ijime Dame Zettai live at Sonisphere

First time I saw them I wasn't impressed. I think it was "Catch me if you can"and I didn't even watch a minute. But they kept turning up in the sidebar and people's comments, and when I heard about the Sonisphere concert I got curious again. My opinion totally flipped around. It was not just the performance, but that they could so confidently play in front of a potentially hostile crowd—much larger than they expected. Then I saw this performance, and that was it for me. Total freaking fan now.

J-pop and pure f***ing metal in an unholy alliance, I love it.

"I wanna be in that circle pit" yes.....YES.....YEESSSSSSSSSSSS 😭😭😭😭

A big chunk of lore that amazing is "Babymetal Death 1997 Legend S"  where Su-Metal Sacrificed herself  for the good metal and the Fox resurrected her as the Metal Goddess

BabyMetal are a gateway for people to slip into the rock world , but o my how the gatekeepers hate them .  I have seen them live 8 times and have met some of the most amazing fans from all over the world and streamers too . Often queuing 12 hours or more chatting and joining in the pre-gig fun . The after show parties are crazy too . BabyMetal have a great time on stage and have lots of interaction with the crowd , Momo was having fun our side and laughing most of the time .  The London o2 2025 Blu-ray is now out for ordering , that was a fantastic show .

I am so excited to watch you discover more Babymetal. One of the most unique groups around.  Impossible to recommend just one song because practically all of their songs are completely different with different sounds, feels and sub-genres of metal.

Probably 2016 download. You should check out Karate at 2016 download. It is one of their epic live performances.  Yes, it was raining

Babymetal worked with DragonForce to write the music for this song

Awesome reaction, Phoebe! This was one of the songs that absolutely converted me into a die hard fan!

This was Jan 2015, and Su just turned 17, and Yui/Moa were 15, with a 20K sold out crowd. This song has been their stable show closer for the last decade.

I “Whoa’d whoa’d” to this song with the crowd a few months ago in the US, at their show in Baltimore and Chicago, and it was amazing.

Babymetal’s music is typically uplifting, hopeful, or down right silly and fun (like Gimme Chocolate). They do have a few darker, somber songs too.

Oh, fun fact, Momometal, the new 3rd member started to do some harsh vocals too. This was highlighted through their collab with Slaughter to Prevail in “Song 3”.

For Megitsune: Pia Arena MM 2023 is one of the best, and probably safest for YouTube!

🤘🦊🤘🦊

The band that, back in 2015,  was my gateway into 21st century Japanese music. Great choice of performance to experience them for the first time. This was a decade ago and they've never stopped evolving and, as you've seen, being EPIC live! I saw them in Cardiff students union in 2020 and, even in a small venue they were epic. Try their first appearance at a UK Metal fest in 2014, with the very positive - and very Metal - Ijime Dame Zettai (Bullying, No More, Forever) live at Sonisphere. SuMetal, the lead vocalist, said it was her fave concert.🤘🦊🤘

Epic performance. "Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational BABYMETAL!" Great reaction. Small correction, you are going down the foxhole. I will leave a suggestion for a must see MV. This is the essence of BABYMETAL.  🦊      🖖❤
BABYMETAL - メギツネ - MEGITSUNE (OFFICIAL)

This video was before Momo joined, Yui was the third member

3:21 "quite a bit of lore around this" oh girl.... you have NO idea lmao

That was a really great reaction to an epic performance. And when you saw them at Drownload that was in 2016 so a year after this performance. You did a wonderful job with this. Thoughtful, well spoken with good observations and comments. You've got my sub.

There is a fantastic LIVE performance of "Megitsune" from the two night concert at the PIA Arena. And it was the second night of this show where Momo was officially given the third spot in Babymetal.  Momo is not officially the third member in this performance (so she's not singing just doing choreography) but it is a wonderful more recent performance from 2023 (I'll include the link):  "*Megitsune, PIA Arena, Black Night  2023*":  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RorkQ79V-68

FYI: At heart Babymetal are and always have been a brilliant live act. If you're ever in doubt about doing an MV or going live with a song. Well to get the full experience, you'll never go wring with live.

LOOK OUT HERE THEY COME!!! 🦊🦊🦊

megitsunEH is probably babymetal's signature track, tho it's hard to classify anything as "typical" babymetal because they just have so much range.

I am so looking forward to you exploring Babymetal's work. You can pick up virtually any live performance (even multiples of the same song) and they are different an interesting and excellent, don't be too too worried about what you try out and when it's all really good.

One thing I noticed about them; Metal as a genre is aggressive, fundamentally that is one of the keys to it. Almost every metal band is outwardly aggressive in some way, pointing the aggression outwards. Babymetal points it inwards, suggesting one overcome themselves, fight on whether they feel like it or not, and build yourself up; I'm of course speaking very generally but it is an interesting theme that is pretty consistent.

Babymetal is a fun positive community movement fronted by 3 amazing girls (now women), bringing everybody involved in the band and the fans (the one) to join in the great top tier musical journey together..
I've been following them since 2014 and watch them grow on age, there's something endearing about that, that I don't get from any other band that makes them special for me. I believe I'm not alone when I feel like a proud dad watching them grow and become who they are now.
Anyway great reaction and looking forward for more Babymetal reaction.
