Well, that escalated quickly.
Glad everyone is enjoying the video ... started to respond to a few comments but gotta make dinner and have movie night with the kids.

Couple of things:
*The black object flying off the bike after the jump was my Gopro, detaching from the windshield when I cased the front..
* As mentioned, I've grown to love the GS/A's from my first ride on one in 2004. I was genuinely interested in seeing if this 25 model still works good off-road. I got my answer.

Next episode is a more real-world test of the bike's qualities.

I respect how Adam is not loyal and obsessed with any one brand but focused on the capabilities of the particular bike he's riding rather than the emblems or stickers it wears.

You can talk about engineering perfection and geometry and peak performance etc all day long but Adam, 99% of that awesome riding in this video is down to your skills as a rider. Absolutely awesome.

Man, your skills are off the roof! You rode that behemoth like a moped. Incredible riding, incredible engineering.

Adam’s skill will fool many a GS rider into yeeting their adventures into trees and off cliffs.  lol. Impressive riding as always!

You have matured well Adam. The way you talk about the price, along with with expertise ride techniques and knowledge, says it all about your integrity. In my opinion you are hands down the best off-road oriented moto journalist alive. Just love what you are doing now.

I recently had the opportunity to take a factory tour at BMW Motorrad in Berlin and can confirm that all boxer models and engines are exclusively manufactured there in Germany.

I ride a built DR650. Cogent suspension, 790 engine, Web cam, the works. For years, it has always prided me that on our annual poker run I smoke everyone. Nothing warms my heart more than riding 2000 miles from my house and then wheelieing past tipped over GSs and ATs on the twisty gravel mine roads.

So this year when I saw a 1300 GS at the pumps, I snorted, and joked to my wife, as his windshield lowered itself, that we wouldn’t even be likely to see that Winnebago outside the parking lot.

The next day I met him in the twisties, and simply couldn’t pass. Eventually I had to back off the pace as we were leaving my wife in the dust (and she’s no slouch herself) The first time in my life a BMW got the best of me. It’s still an ugly motor home of a bike, but turns out it can definitely be ridden hard, with the right operator.

Aa a German 1300GS  rider, from Berlin, i can assure you the whole bike is made in Berlin Capital of Germany.

Adam, as you wanted to know it: German here with deep knowledge of German manufacturers. And I am not even a fan of BMW bikes. I love my T7 World Rally and my 1100 AT. But I can confirm it. The 1300 GS including its engine is built in Berlin-Spandau, Germany. This is a German BMW. But there is another harsh reality beyond its great capabilities. The 1300 GS platform has tons of quality issues. There have been multiple recalls and embarrassing issues. Also facts...this is why I have been riding Japanese bikes for over 27 years now. No issues at all but shitloads of fun.

Yeah, the 1300 boxers are still assembled in Germany. Excellent review, nice to have a pro tell people that the GSA isn't only some highway Starbucks Express bike.
