It's an accidental battle between my Ironhorse - 1992 XRV750 Africa Twin and Lell's "Tranny" as we begin conquering some epic ranges on two bikes built by Honda, 33-years apart.

I’m still recovering from cancer treatment and I very much appreciate watching you complete journeys that I’m not able to take yet. It’s as close as I can get for now until I finish up healing. Thanks for that bit of sharing the experience!

I've had an Africa Twin since '97, 180,000km, not many in that time, but a lot off-road, it still has the original clutch, I think it will outlive me.

You're the only rider where I watch every single second of riding with pure excitement. Just decades of experience. With the other ones I just get bored after a while and skip forward. Best thing is you're the living proof that bigger is not better. It's a slap in the faces of all these marketing bs guys. Bigger is not better. And in the end it's the rider who makes it what it is. We have a saying in Dutch that 'the best sailors stand on the shore'. People in plushy desk chairs (keyboard warriors, you know 'em) were slagging the new Transalp for 'not being any good in the dirt' and here is this guy flipping all of them off following you through some really epic trails. Absolutely loving it.

Thats why i love my old super Tenere! Can rip it everywhere and just makes me smile. Im a young buck and every youngster i talk to ask me why i ride that old piece of history, and i tell them that it just makes me happy. I get alot of thumbs up from the oldtimers.
