WOW!!! This video warmed my heart! I worked with Mark in the early 2000's at Tommy Johns BMW Motorcycles in South Africa. He was already one of the best BMW motorcycle mechanics in the industry back then. He was passionate about working on motorcycles. Told me once that is what he always wanted to do.
He moved away and I changed jobs and we didn't stay in contact. i've been wondering on and off for the last 20 years where he was and how he was doing. So stoked to see him well and doing what he loves!!! Thanks for the video!!!

Tbh, you really make me look at the GS in a whole different way. Over here in Germany this is a proper gramps' bike. The GS rider's average age is probably 65 or more. It's a one-track Unimog other riders make fun of because ageing men just buy it to own the newest version of it, just to do the daily commute to work with it (if they are not yet retired, only in summer, of course). They are like a VW Golf, because they are literally everywhere in huge numbers. And they appear equally boring. There is hardly anyone taking it offroad, which would't work anyway for the simple reason that most of them are equipped with street tyres. And also no one is doing long-haul trips to Central Asia or elsewhere with them, because the bikes are so loaded with electronic gizmos, that you simply can't risk to break down with Starship Enterprise in the middle of Mongolian nowhere.
But it's good to see what these beasts are capable of in the right hands. I was quite sure you'd beach the Behemoth in no time, but I was wrong. Hats off to you, Adam, it was a real pleasure watching you do your thing.  Cheers from a fellow T7 rider from Germany...
