Thank you for joining me everybody! Took a few days to put this out as I wanted a few clips to be added in, but better late than never!

Excellent review, thanks.  I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.  Su, Moa and Momo have so much charisma and stage presence, their vocals (especially Su - even the best videos don't do her justice) are so good, the Kami Band so tight - and you saw for yourself why many of us say BABYMETAL are one of the very best live bands and put on the best shows.  I've seen them 5 times so far in London and I can't wait for another chance.

They've spoiled me for other bands, even my old favourites.  I'll see those bands and have a great time, love the music etc and they'll put on a great show, but there is something missing with all of them after seeing BABYMETAL .... and I would have never believed choreographed dancing could work with metal or that it would possibly make such a difference.

Such a shame your concert was so under-sold.  I think other concerts on the tour have varied, some nearly full, others not so much (but I think yours looked less full than others I've seen in videos so far).
They are playing bigger venues on this tour than on previous tours of north America and for the most part those smaller venues would be sold out or very nearly.  They can at least get everybody in who wants to see them this way.

I'd guess there are many factors effecting the sales - peoples' finances are suffering I believe and some of the ticket prices I've seen mentioned are ridiculously inflated (my tickets for great seats at the O2 Arena last year were only £78).  Concerts on week days and in venues that aren't necessarily easy to get to could be an issue for some. They have also toured the US fairly extensively pretty much every year they could since 2014/15 and it is now over a year since they released Metal Forth, so they're not touring new songs this time round.

Babymetal are famous for how good their live performances are. Performing live is their bread and butter, so their show is extremely refined and polished.

I went to the show at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, IN on Labor Day weekend.  This was my first BABYMETAL show, and I definitely want to see them again, hopefully closer next time.  I was in the second row of the upper pavilion, but still had a great view.  BABYMETAL put on a phenomenal show, and like you said, they exceeded my expectations.  I was happy to hear Syncopation, but I was really excited to hear Iine!  My highlights were two of my favorites, Megitsune and Monochrome.  I agree that the  merch is expensive, but I wanted T-shirts, so bought 2 of them.  Great designs, so I'm happy with them.

I’m so glad you had such a great time. I’ve seen Babymetal live seven times now (as special guests for Sabaton in Cologne, plus shows in Cologne, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Hanover, and two "Legend MM" shows in Yokohama), and I’m already looking forward to the next concert. I actually experienced your"Ratatata" moment several times during the two "Legend MM" shows in Yokohama; seeing them live in Japan was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. And their concerts are always so relaxing — the fans ("THE ONE") are all amazing, and I feel like their positivity heals the world, even if it might just be my own little world 😊🤘🦊🤘

👍👍Awesome. Their power and energy are off the charts live:goodvibes:.    Thanks for sharing.    🦊     🖖❤

Last year for a regular US show BABYMETAL used venues that held around 5k.

By using amphitheatres they can attract double that amount for most shows.

Ive seen them 3 times and Im going to see them tomorrow night in Georgia. Such a fun show!!!

Thanks for your extensive review, I really enjoyed it.

I have seen Babymetal four times live, all of them here in Brisbane, Australia. The first time was in June 2023 and most recent was March 2026.

The first and second times were at the Fortitude Music Hall (FMH), which tops out at about 3,500 punters. The FMH is well-known for it's excellent acoustics, so I wasn't surprised when I was blown away by Babymetal the first time I saw them. I have seen many big name bands, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Metallica, INXS, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Billy Joel and a plethora of incredible Australian "Pub Rock" bands. All of those were fantastic, as I expected them to be. However, never in my life had I left a venue feeling I owed a band money, that I had underpaid for the experience I got. Babymetal have done that to me three times out of the four times I have seen them.

The only time I felt a little underwhelmed was when I saw them at Knotfest at the Brisbane Showgrounds. The day was breezy and it played up with the sound of all bands on the day, but there was a problem with the left stage (which Babymetal was on) as all the bands sounded clearer on the RH stage. Su's performance also seemed to lack a little energy that day. It was rumored that Su was sick with the flu at the Knotfest show in Melbourne the weekend before, I don't know if that was true, but if you listen to the audio from that show, she sounded really off. Su looked and sounded better at the Brisbane performance, but not at her barnstorming best.

The last time I saw Babymetal was at the Riverstage in Brisbane in March this year. The Riverstage is in an idyllic setting, nestled into a curve on the Brisbane River and the stage looks out on a gently sloping hill; it gives the acoustics of a natural amphitheater, on a good day. However, if the wind is up it can play havoc with the sound because the venue is unprotected from the wind that can stream down the natural bends of the river. Thankfully that day was warm and there was very little breeze. As night fell the breeze dropped off completely, there could be no excuses for a poor performance.

I, and 9,500 of my closest friends, watched the opening act, US band Magnolia Park, who, by the way, were really, really good. They were followed by Bloodywood, who elevated the quality to a new level. I actually started to think that Babymetal would have a hard time executing the expected lift to headline act; that was until about 2/3 of the way through  Bloodywood's set, when Babymetal joined them on stage to perform one of their collabs, Bekhauf. The crowd went apesh*t, both groups landed the track perfectly and the crowd rose to another level for the remainder of Bloodywood's set (if Bloodywood tour Australia as a headliner, I reckon they could fill an 5k to 8k venue now).

Babymetal then came on stage and proceeded to shatter any concerns I had surrounding whether they could lift the show to another level, when Babymetal stepped on stage for their set, the whole place erupted and stayed at fever pitch until the end of the last song.

For me, a personal highlight of the Babymetal show was when Bloodywood joined Babymetai in their set for their second collab of the night, "Kon Kon". That performance was killer. I was also happy that I got to see From Me To You, KxAxWxAxIxI, Song 3 and Sunset Kiss live for the first time. I was also stoked to see Babymetal do a flashback to Doki Doki Morning. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would ever have seen, in 2026, Babymetal play their first ever single. Slam Dunk! Best Babymetal show I have seen, no contest.

Now, about low turnouts for Babymetal's US concerts, I think there are a lot of things at play here. First, there is a worldwide cost of living crisis, people are squeezed financially, inflation is high and people cut back where they have to; entertainment is often the first victim. Second, since 2023, I think that Babymetal would have played over 100 shows in the US (Grington will probably be able to give you the actual number of shows). As such, many on-the-fence-fans have had a chance to see them, and if the band isn't their thing, may have decided that once was enough. And, that's fair. Also, the band sings predominately in Japanese, so some people, in the current political environment in the US, aren't inclined to to go see a foreign band that doesn't sing in English. However, I also agree with the lack of new music theory, and I think the band's management sees this as well. I note of late, in my latest concert, Babymetal played Doki Doki Morning,  I saw that like your concert, Babymetal have also snuck Syncopation (a banger) and iine back into the rotation. I feel this is an admission that they went too hard on collabs for Metal Forth.

Sorry, for this being so long, but you asked for experiences, this is mine.

Appreciate the VLOG for your first BABYMETAL concert experience.  Very happy you enjoyed the performance and that it exceeded expectations. They are unique and they are different, but in such awesome ways, which is why I love this group.  Probably their origin story has a lot to do with that, especially since they started so young and all relative factors.
I have been to two shows thus far.  The first at a small venue in Las Vegas (The Pearl Theater) and the arena show at Intuit Dome in LA.

The tour sales have been a big topic of discussion in the fandom. Some venues have sold well, others poorly. As others have mentioned they are playing venues 2,3,5 times bigger than they have played before in the US. If they sold out all their venues this tour they would have played to a total audience 3 or 4 times larger than they have ever played to on a US tour. Many bands are not selling well this year. You might have heard of "blue dot fever 🔵" referencing all the blue dots on the ticket maps. A number of artists have just cancelled shows so kudos to Babymetal for going ahead anyway. I think they just reached a little too far this year and for all the reasons others have mentioned they aren't pulling the numbers they probably want. But as you saw, the show is still awesome.

Saw them 16 times now, including 4 times in Japan and every single show was fantastic. My favorite live song is probably Headbangerrrrrrr because I had a wonderful headbang battle with Moa once ❤🔥🦊🤘

I'm glad you enjoyed the show.
I am also very pleased that I am not the only one who can't stand Poppy's vocals in From Me To You.
I'm amazed that you hadn't heard Babymetal Death before... You definitely need to see the Legend 1997 version of that one.... lol

I've seen them seventeen times. I still want to see them again. Thanks for the reaction - always nice to hear from someone experiencing them for the first time

❤ Baby Metal was awesome! Your review was awesome!

I'm glad you had a good time. I've seen Babymetal live 6 times and can't wait to see them again. If what I have heard is true and it is actually Live Nation that decides which of their venues a band plays at, then the venues not selling out is more of a misjudgment by Live Nation and not by Babymetal themselves? Either way, going from 6K to 12K is a pretty nice bump even if it appears the tour is a failure to some. Babymetal have toured the USA every year lately and the prices were pretty high. Especially with things being a little tougher right now moneywise. So I think all that factored in to explain the empty seats. Still, like I said, the crowd size doubled from previous years. So, maybe if the prices were a bit lower, they could have sold it out.

I'm happy to hear that they exceeded your expectations! I'm totally fine with the fact that the tickets didn't sell very well. BABYMETAL always brings me happiness and energy. 🤘🦊
I hope you get to see them live in one of those mosh pits someday. It's a whole different experience for sure!

Previous years BABYMETAL performed at 5K-6K venues. This year they tried 15K+ venues and had sections unsold. The problem is that there are extremely few mid size (10K) venues. In Toronto they closed the lawn and moved people to the seats which filled in nicely.

I try not to pay attention to under selling. I just go to enjoy watching my favourite band. Merch prices are off the chart but it's reflective of pricing in today's world. Ticketmaster has a stranglehold on venues and bands don't make as much money from the venue as we think, thus merch is a great source of income. In Toronto, I've come across many looking for merch because a lot was sold out.

I'm glad you got to see BABYMETAL live. This was my 3rd time and it was my best concert to date. 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻

After the first time seeing BabyMetal i was how do i see them again soon .
Seen them six times now and hope they tour the UK  next year to make it seven times .
Great review and you should go for standing next time that's what i do and i usually get  near the front . That's where all the fun is . 😁
🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

Nice! "Iine!" is so great, right? 😄 Hard to believe that it is one of the very early songs when you see them perform it these days... you people over there in the US are very lucky 😉

BABYMETAL are one the best live acts on the planet right now 😁 I´ve seen them 3 times by now, unknowingly being there together with ENTE-METAL 🤣
