I have had a moto guzzi for about 5 years, after many years of German and Japanese motorcycles of nearly every kind. I have been  riding since 1969. It is a wonderful motorcycle. I like everything, about it. I even like the few perfect imperfections. The only complaint I have is that in the USA there aren’t a lot of dealers. There is one reasonably close to me, but on trips,  well, there just are so few. But mostly DIY is easy enough and… any good independent shop can work on them. My very accommodating and family like “home” dealer can send parts to wherever if necessary. They are durable rideable and charming vehicles in my opinion. Yorkshire is beautiful, the channel is very peaceful and enjoyable, and this video very well done.

As far as Italian bikes, I have owned a ducati 860, moto morini 500 camel, laverda 3cl 1000, cagiva 650, and currently have a 1989 Moto Guzzi Mille GT 1000 and a 2013 Moto Guzzi Stone 750. Have owned several German bikes to include BMW and Zundaps. Grew up with British bikes--meaning Triumph and BSA. Have never been interested in Harley. Owned several Suzuki's to include 2-stroke models and the Wankel rotary 500. The Moto Guzzis have been my favorite above all the rest. Quirky, reliable, tractor-like in that the Japanese "refinement" is not there--but if you love just being connected to machinery and sound--Moto Guzzi!--mike battle

Great review! My new leftover ‘25 is set to be delivered next Tuesday so I’ve been watching every video about them that I can find. Really appreciated your balanced review and the amazing countryside views!

Just love my V7 Centenario. Lovely bike and after some km/miles on the counter gearbox simply got smoother and does it thing (when warmed up) Pure simplicity and a joy to ride the back roads it is designed for. Truly a dirt magnet but cleaning it up ain't that bad. Good opportunity to check out all is OK and relaxing time with my bike. Back in the day gear indicators and nick nack was never an issue, you simply got it in your system automatically. Thank Moto Guzzi for still let us have basic bikes with minimum of electronics interference. Sadly we got a short MC season  in Norway.

There is a lot to like about the V7 Special Edition. Tubeless tires, shaft drive, LED headlight, comfortable seat, simple and easy to service push rod engine and the undeniably gorgeous styling.

A European bike that is owner friendly and easy in the pocket do it yourself. Not only are they handsome they are also affordable. Moto Guzzi a class by its own.

Cheers Dave, love that V Twin engine with no radiators, classic looks and design from an unbroken blood line. I was looking at the V7 Special yesterday in Teesdale Motorcycles, Thirsk, gorgeous.

I'm considering buying a V7 as a stablemate to my BMW R1250GS.  There's some fantastic deals on them right now and I'd never gave one a serious thought until recently.  Those are some beautiful country roads!  Cheers from BC Canada.

Couldn't agree more with you there is something unique and special about limestone countryside it fills the soul, love it.

I had a v7iii stone; loved it. I wanted the twin clocks and was told it would be very difficult and expensive to change over.... Wiring not the same. I've got a v85tt now. It lacks the classic charm of the v7, but it has been a brilliant bike on the crappy roads of eastern Maine and Atlantic Canada.

LOL... this vid came up for some reason! After "almost another year"!
My V7 Special Edition is now at  ~17k kms, changed rear OE Michelin Road Classic Tire for another one... wear bars were "long gone" ...front is still going strong!  Seems like a good tire for this bike.
T120 front tyre just changed 2 days ago... 21k kms  - was a Continental RA3... one of the best I've had ... but the new Avon Spirits are wonderful... new boots are always great! ...don't wait too long before swapping out those tyres
V7- almost 2 years (17k km) only niggly points are: it's a mucky duck, indicator switch, and finding neutral.  So, I still love it and have no regrets.
... swapped out the horn for a Denali!  Finally installed a Thunderbox for the Oxford heated grips and GPS .... No running lights installed (yet...$$?)
After ~2yrs the T120 is still my favourite... however, it's unfair to compare the V7 850 & T120 😊
Cheers... here's to a few more years!

just having a wee rewatch lad. It was the thumb nail that grabbed my attention. I have recently been refurbishing and converting to tubeless me `79 Big Block wheels (So ave looked at em a lot) and when a saw the thumb nail, I thought I had missed you having a Big Block. Them wheels you have there are so, so like the wheels on me old lass. Must be a wee homage to the past that has previously slip past me. Just thought add share cause it fair tickled us like.,

Almost 3 years on my 2022 V7 Centenario. Love this bike. I love my 2022 Himalayan too. But when I hop on the V7, it feels like a hot rod. Such a great experience!

I understand your feelings about that and other modern classic  motorcycles. There are a couple of niggles about the riding position on my W800 that my old bones don't appreciate for long periods but I quickly forget about those niggles every time I open the garage door and look at it. Like the V7 the W800 in chrome is a sight to behold. I surely would like a shaft drive bike but I would have a hard time parting with my W.

Cheers: BJ

The land is beautiful, I can see how you love it! Gods country for sure, would love to see it one day, from my motto guzzi v7 sport.

I have the same model Moto Guzzi and it’s a great honest Classic ride along with my Kawasaki W800. Miles of smiles brother.

Lovely ride,thanks.
They obviously had a passive/aggressive designer do the speedo. It’s not unknown concepts, the beauty of symmetry in design, and …designed in dissatisfaction. I saw that in a 1960’s Italian film Rogopag. Surely they’ve  had long enough to design indicators and illuminated controls like you get in cars. Maybe the next new model will have some other fly in the ointment? Someone did that on purpose and they’re proud of it.

Thanks for the review. I’ve had mine for 15 months and just had the 12k mile service done £380. Multiple Euro trips including a visit to the factory in Mandello.    Nil issues thus far (touch wood) and I’ve been pretty hard on it at times.  One of the first things I did was put a front mud guard  extension on and a short wind shield.  I have a dealer 10 mins away but at £90 an hour labour I’ll be learning how to do the servicing myself.  Love the bike though. Safe travels.

Hi Dave, I can tell you that the new 2025 and 2026 V7 have the gear indicator problems fixed. Mine is spot on-all the time and doesn't matter whether the clutch is in or out.

I really enjoyed this video. Just bought the Centenario version (unseen!) and picking it up soon…
