The "Head" is Shaun Ryder, lead singer of the groups 'The Happy Mondays' and 'Black Grape'. He is actually saying "its there" but his Manchester accent makes it sound like 'Dare' so they kept that in. The man being Gorillaz is Damon Albarn of Blur. The cartoon character is "Noodle', the lead guitarist of the virtual band Gorillaz.

No Damon Albarn of Blur is the guy who does all of this. Ryder the head is just a guest on this track

Honestly the Gorillaz are probably one of the most versatile bands out there

Clint Eastwood, Feel Good Inc, and Melancholy Hill are all bangers

Wikipedia—Gorillaz are an English virtual band formed in 1998 by the musician Damon Albarn and the artist Jamie Hewlett. The band primarily consists of four fictional members: 2-D (vocals, keyboards, melodica; vocals provided by Albarn), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar), Noodle (guitar, keyboards, backup vocals) and Russel Hobbs (drums). Their universe is presented in media such as music videos, interviews, comic strips and short cartoons. Gorillaz's music has featured collaborations with a wide range of musicians and featured artists, with Albarn as the only permanent musical contributor.

Saw The Gorillaz in London in June . Took my 20 year old as part of his birthday present . They were great. It is absolutely not just one person . The main singer is Damon Albarn from Blur but every song has guest singers . At the end of the gig they did almost like a traditional 'curtain call ' and there were around 10 singers on the stage taking a bow . This of course is Shaun Ryder of Happy Mondays (another British band worth checking out)

As much as it pains me to say this song is 21 years old so depending on who you ask it IS a classic. The general consensus is at least 20-25 years.

Look up BLUR who were a UK band that were around with OASIS, the lead singer is who created GORILLAZ.

Rosie Wilson, is the character Noodle's voice actor for this song, she is voiced by many female collaborators, 2-D, the guy listening under the door, is voiced by Damon Alburn the music side of the project, Jamie Hewlett is the artist❤
The Gorillaz, is essentially a comic book band, and the music is the dialog 🎉 unravel that one, is a wild and interesting rabbit hole

If this song doesn’t make you move, there’s something wrong with you.

Gorillaz bring in guest vocalists/musicians for almost every one of their songs.

they do share a bombastic quality to their music that Chemical Brothers have, for sure. the animator is a guy named Jamie Hewlett, he's also well-known for his comic book Tank Girl

Damon Albarn of the Brit Pop band Blur and Jamie Hewitt original artist of the Tank Girl character came up with the idea to create a virtual band to see if music could sell on its own merit rather than who was performing it.

If you didn’t know, the lead singer was also the lead singer of the British band Blur and another musician in the band is Del Tha Funky Homosapian (who’s cousin is Ice Cube).

Fun fact, this album, Demon Days, has Danger Mouse as the Primary Producer. Good catch picking up on that style!

My favorite Gorillaz song and video  🤩

The animation is by Jamie Hewlett, the creator of the tank girl comic books

The detached head is Sean Ryder of the Happy Mondays. An absolutely legendary wild man. If you like "imperfect" voices you should check out his back catalog.

You are in for a great ride, sweetie!  As far as I know this group is a collaborative effort with a bunch of other artists 😘

6:23 its not just about having dope instuments, you still need to know the fundamentals of music to produce songs like this
