chain gang next week one my top 5 😂 the fact this whole series was written by one man is insane a real comedy and storytelling genius

Best line, which you missed, was Rodney saying 'Seen you with worse' after Del says of the dolls that they're 'ugly looking mares, ain't they?'

@242Assembly 3 weeks ago

Del saying good evening as the doll saying it cracks me up everytime.

“… but I know a man who can.”
That line works on its own but it got a huge laugh because at the time it was the catchphrase in a U.K. TV commercial for the AA breakdown service.
“Can you fix it?”
“No. But I know a man who can.”

There's a great gag not many notice in this episode. When Del gets Denzil "the same again" Mike bring him another bowl of stew 😂

Fun fact, after they filmed this episode the production team took the dolls and put them in Nicholas Lyndhurst’s hotel room, there’s a photo of him laughing and kicking them in the lift 🤣

"breakfast is for wimps" is a twist on the famous 1987 movie line "lunch is for wimps," spoken by character Gordon Gekko in the film Wall Street. Del wants to be Godron Gekko, hence his braces he wears etc. "TTFN"= ta ta for now (goodbye)
