Absolutely do money ties....

Money Ties is a good palate cleanser after Money Game 3 because it's much more uplifting. You could probably do with an uplifting Ren song after this 🙂

Money Ties has the same anti-greed message as the Money Game songs do. But it also has some lovely, sweet lyrics.

“Money ties” does have a lot of family dynamics that you could explore. Same could be said about “What does your love look like -Token and Ren”. From a therapy perspective, I’d suggest both. They are great songs too.

For me, Jimmy's father is an allegory for society. You are told to get as much money as you can, but once you get so much, you get blame, jealousy, people wanting to take advantage of you, etc. That is symbolized by Jimmy's father dying. It's society's support for you continuing to get more money dying. Thanks for the reaction! 💕

I’ve seen lots of channels react to this, but I really enjoyed watching you dissect it. I can relate to so much of Jimmy’s story it feels like you’ve just saved me a ton of money on therapy. Your emotional response to it mirrored my own and it validated how I felt when I first heard it. Great work, thank you.

You, to me are absolutely the most relatable reactor that I think I've watched. Thank you.

What always gets me about this song is the profound loneliness of Jimmy's life.  During his entire journey there is never anyone close to him.  He is constantly surrounded by  staff, functionaries, or employees.  But he never has those people who make a truly valuable life.  And on his death, more functionaries will swoop in guided by the money to clean up and wrap up his life.  No one is left to mourn Jimmy.

The production of this video is near flawless

There is hope in this world with people like Ren and Shaddiag. Thank you for sharing your wisdom

I was impressed that Ren had daddy deliver identity shaping messages at such generally important developmental stages for children. 5, 9, 13 and then pre adulthood at 18

I really think that you will love the good grief of Caskets, that Ren did with Chris Webby

Those in power do not care. This is what Ren is drawing our attention to… this is the money game. This is the power game. This is what the 99% need to understand. Money does not make you happy. It literally pushes you toward sociopathy… in that it suppresses empathy.

At 3:33 when he saw the mirrior, it was almost like he was saying internally, "wait, thats me?" Like he never even knew he had the noose on his neck and a burlap sack on his head. Ren has such an amazing skill in making large gestures with minimal movement or words

I think every parent needs to watch this over and over. I know I told my children things that were stupid and damaging. I'm not Jimmy's dad, but, Ren is so right. If we want better, we need to do better.

I saw your Hi Ren reaction not long ago and have seen soooooo many Ren reactions and you so so so get it, I had to seek more of you out and found your tales of Jenny and Screech reactions and was blown away, your perspectives are so refreshing. Now I'm here and again your perspectives are are so on point. You're a gem, and ill continue to look for your videos

This song is a good reminder as a parent to allow my child to grow and form their own opinions about the world. I can have my moments of nihilism, but I can't foist them on my kid.

That said, mine shows signs of PDA, so the chances of her just going along with whatever I say are already pretty slim.

I've been eagerly awaiting your reaction as a family therapist and it was nice to hear your thoughts on this video 😁
In my opinion, the bad thing about the story is, that the greed for money not only destroyed Jimmy's life, but also ruined the lives of many other people through the sale of weapons and drugs. It shows perfectly what effect your actions have on other people.

The ending of this (and the first song in this trilogy), I’ve struggled with. In the first, the self-immolation is sometimes used as a way to make a political statement, or a statement on something that you feel is more important than your own life. In this one, it’s basically suicide because of regrets of doing so much wrong, but it you listen to his words at the end, it’s not literal, it’s symbolic. In both cases, it’s left ambiguous. In the first one, you hear the lighter but it doesn’t sound like it created a flame. In this one, you hear the click but don’t hear the shot. In neither one is anything shown at that point, but with both the sounds and lack of visuals, I have taken that he doesn’t physically harm himself, but he kills the part of him that needed to go away or the commitment to being better. I truly think that was his intention. And I hope that everyone who watches these gets that. One of my favorite artists, David Gilmour, has a long on their last Pink Floyd album where the chorus is about killing the past and coming back to life. That’s what I get from the symbolism Ren uses in this trilogy. BTW, I will scroll through your videos to see if you’ve done a reaction to it already, but Pink Floyd’s Division Bell album is something I think you would enjoy and get a lot out of. It’s divisive for some, but it’s actually my favorite album of theres. There is a lot there that I think you will connect with and have comments on.

To see your emotions and deep mental understanding so beautifully and rawly on show is a lovely thing to see.
Always makes me think what a wonderful therapist you must be because your heart is so large and caring. Clearly you are such a rare and wonderful human being. Hits me in 'my' feels, every time. ❤
