Fun reaction lad , I'm an older white English guy 70 years young , so basically I've never been exposed to Rap culture ! But 'Ren ' has opened my eyes and ears to a whole new genre for myself personally !.. And I'm loving it !... X
Lol! Yep, Ren can RAP rap! He made the beat also. Itās more incredible when you realize his timing has to be perfect to line up with the nail gun āgun shotsā. There is a behind the scenes of Ren practicing in the car on the way. ⤠Renegade approved!
Too true⦠we have seen it so many times so weāre here to see what you think about it⦠and if you caught the same magic we felt when we heard it for the first timeā¦. I love the dopamine hits watching others be blown away by our REN. Lovely reactionā¦. And cool that you are familiar with FIB.. so you can probably get it a bit more⦠because I think of REN waiting for the day he was invited to this⦠probably had some lines and ideas if he were ever asked to do it.. .and then when he was⦠he was writing this up to driving in the car to record this⦠so freakinā cool. Keep on chattingā¦weāll be listening!
Never aim to please the audience. The most important part is that you actually enjoy what you are doing. If you enjoy yourself, it becomes authentically you. And that will shine through to those who need to find your enjoyment.
1148 words recorded in one take. Words and music track by Ren. (Some of the song was written/rewritten on the way to the studio in the car as seen in Ren's BTS video).
I'm here to listen to your perspective and life experiences, if I want to listen to just the songs then I'll go watch the original. Thanks for the great reaction!
Lol I love the point when you had to breathe because Ren forgot how to š You are now caught in the dilemma 'Pause, no pause, talk, lost for words + remember to breathe ' š Thanks, I enjoyed this a lot š x
I like that we can see you get the bars just from your expressions. Some reactors repeat the bars back to us watching like we didn't just hear them ourselves.
Not a rap fan (apart from Ren rapping), so when Ren announced he was going on this, I looked it up and watched a couple of the higer viewed ones. I was dissapointed to see contestents reading from their phones as they rapped. It did not endear me to them in the slightest. I honestly could not see why Ren was bothering with the show. Then he did this and I got it. He needed to do this, I am glad for him that he did. It proved so much to so many. It would have been fun to be a fly on the wall and see your brothers reaction too. Hope he enjoyed it! This is your channel. If anyone complains they need to go to Ren's channel, support him, and watch uninterrupted. The rest of us come to see you react, and that means stopping and chatting. Carry on how you wish.....
For fun, you may want to see a (fan named, I heard) video of Ren's *Rap God. He does not make things easy for himself. .
If you watch the BTS you'll see Ren still adding new lines on the way to the studio. Charlie Sloth used to be a BBC Radio 1 DJ. Ali-Renš¾š½Ren melted the Booth, I watched the guy straight after Ren & he was reading lines off his Phone. I think somebody said there was 1200 words, but I might be wrong. Another great reaction Mo.
Love how he is so coy almost shy talking to Charlie. He had to say no to this 1st time as too sick.. he idolized this show and it was so clearly a dream come true to be there. Ren has been making beats since he was 12 - got a deal w Sony at 18 and couldn't fulfil the contract or finish hus album when he got sick - so to not get to do this until he was 35 puts it into perspective for ya! Xxx
No one song can ever show every facet of the diamond that is Ren, but Back on 74/Message in a bottle shows off his singingā¦.cāmon itās Sting!ā¤ā¤ā¤
It was fun watching you get your mind blown by this one š Please keep talking. To me it's what makes your reactions interesting. If reactors just go wow and move on, it will make me move on pretty fast as well. Look up the lyrics, cc is shitty on this one. Or, if you feel like watching an excellent breakdown of every bar in this, go to Old Heads Media and watch him doing it. He's a big hip hop fan. Took him close to two hours though š Read the comments under it as well for Renegades providing further context on specific english and welsh references in it and other stuff.
Thanks for the introduction to Lowkey, that made my head spin.
It's freestyle as in no particular style, not off the dome. He was still writing it on the trip to record it, so the fact that he can remember it is insane! He made the beat as well š
It's more than 1100 words, all perfectly spat on the beat. AliREN! š½šš„š„ Oh and it hurts my soul seeing you unsure how much to speak on your own channel because of some comments. I saw one of them and and just thought "Chill bro, he will figure it out". At the end it's about YOU feeling comfortable with the stuff you do. Sure, feedback is great and one should never ignore it, but also never let it intimidate you. If your subscribers are going up, you do more right than wrong. If they don't you should always ask yourself first "is it important for me that these numbers go up?" and then decide whether to change something or keep going and ignore the numbers. Just one thing: Stay true to what you really like, others will feel the authenticity!
But 'Ren ' has opened my eyes and ears to a whole new genre for myself personally !..
And I'm loving it !...
