I am turning 80 this year. I've journaled for years. But doing it with pictures makes more since to me. Documenting my final years would be something to leave for my kids.

You are so correct. I am 85 years old and would love to have journals to look back on at this time in my life. My husband, brother and sister have past on so I have no one to refresh my memory. After I got in my 80’s thinks I thought I would never forget are not so clear anymore. God bless.

I've been doing a media journal (basically writing about the games, books and movies/tv shows/anime I watch, and what they made me think and feel). And although it is not directly journaling about my life or me, I think it still reflects a bit of myself and how/who I was while writing those. I noticed I always forget about those contents I consume, especially when asked which ones are my favorites and my mind just goes blank.

I love those drawers on your desk with the plant sitting on top. Where did you find that?

I used to think i don't do anything because i don't have money or people who want to do things with me. What could i possibly have to document. I love checking of things and writing . I have been so much better at doing habits and coming up with free things to do just so i can check things off and have things to write about. Ofcourse doing things makes life more enjoyable.. hmm maybe ill stop writing everyday about none swnse and just do this instead. Definitely save some money on all these journals ❤❤❤

This is exactly what I needed to see. I WANT to journal, and I've tried a few different ways but none fit me. I know this is it. I already have a blank notebook that I can use to get started. I think the mix of memorabilia (programs, pic, etc.) with a bit of documentation will be ideal. Thank you.

Wow! I just discovered your channel and my mind is blown. I used to get up every morning, eat my breakfast and write in my journal after I read my Bible. I have so many journals where I wrote about my life. Most of the time I would dump my thoughts... anxieties, doubts, fears, and hopes and joys. But it was all words and doodles. Mostly words. I love that you turned it into an archival experience. So great an idea. Thank you so very much for this glimpse into the RIGHT way to live.

¡Hola!

You absolutely inspired me! Thank you so much, I am 57, and I want to journal, but every day is so much, and now I am inspired to do monthly! So thank you so so much! Love from the Netherlands❤

I enjoyed the video. I’ve been on a journaling journey that I didn’t realize was a journey until recently. It started with note taking apps, then pocket notebooks, then bullet journaling, not artsy, more productive, but the artsy side has been coming out little by little. I started carrying a pocket notebook and I would document things like daily weather, moon phases, events in my family’s and my life. Then I recently saw someone who was adding little bits of memory like ticket stubs, stickers, etc., and that really resonated with me, so now I’m collecting little pieces of memory and pasting them into my notebook. Holy cow, yesterday I was at Hobby Lobby with my wife and I bought a set of lettering stamps, and this thing has really started to evolve into a journal/scrapbook. It’s tons of fun, not something I talk about when watching football with my boys, LOL! But I’m really enjoying this and finding it therapeutic.

This is a wonderful idea! What a lovely person you are. I will still keep my private journal where I work thru issues and set my goals, but I will definitely be making monthly spreads in a separate one. What a great way to document a life. I’ma start right now!

I'm 68 years old and God knows how many more years I have left on this Earth, and not much happens in my life on a daily basis. What do you suggest for someone who's starting a journal like this so late in life?

@sheliaporter6795 9 months ago

This sounds lovely! I plan to write in and document in my journal more this year. ❤😊

@staceface_sbk 2 months ago

I have a notebook that I decorate every month. :) I make a sort of cover page, and it's not organized like a bullet journal/tracker, but I use the pages after the Monthly page for things I'm working on or jotting down ideas. Sometimes I don't use those pages and just decorate the Monthly page. I saved pretty artwork from an old planner with Monthly tabs. I glue them into my notebook with extra stickers and colors, notes, inspiration, and reflections. I love that my notebook now has monthly tabs that take me to a pretty, seasonal, inspirational, colorful page.

I love your thought process! Days go by so quickly, we need to stop and take notes of what we see and things we feel!!! Out of my head and put down on paper! Not a diary, but a refresh of my brain thoughts!
