Drums, whistles and cans, the soundtrack of that long summer.

John Snow’s last day of test cricket.

I was at all 5 days of this match as a 13 year old!!

i saw most of this series as it was played on t.v. as a kid.  I have no memory whatsoever of Alan Ward, either in test or county cricket.

Basically, Grieg's post-match interview is him telling the nation he got his leg over.

Alan Ward showing more guts with the bat than he ever did with the ball!

Tony Grieg was a top player and much misunderstood especially during that series.

Great stuff...good memories

Tony did not make them grovel but he showed spirit and fought hard. Awesome Windies though. Complete turn around from the smashed players in 1975 on Australia to a ruthless test team for years to come. Awesome stuff

Would love to see the first day highlights when West Indies scored 435 runs !

Desmonds brought me here

Yes, the total needed by England was unachievable. Alan Ward superb: that's what true cricket is all about! Grit, guts, determination and persistence, eh Sir Geoff!

Great footage!

Van Holder was a bit lucky there, every ball he delivered, his back foot cut the return crease & should've been no-balled.

Tony is now on the other side

Tail-enders wafting at balls two feet outside off stump.

With 3 balls to go you call the game ?

Irritating subtitles

....Windies were already 2 up in the series...
