“Um, my lord? The WiFi seems to be running a bit slow in her-“
SPEAK NOT OF IT AGAIN”

I like the deep inhalation before he speaks. Having to fill dead lungs with air just to make a sound.

You must bounce on it, crazy style.

Dracula: No, I’m definitely a human. Look how handsome I am.

Orlok: Fuck it, you’re gonna die anyway. Yes, I’m a vampire. How’d you guess?

If you didn’t catch this theatres, you really missed out on some serious gourmet horror. The way Orlok’s voice reverberated through the speakers was incredible.

This mf straight up teleported, he was barely pretending to be a human, that’s how u know Orlok had no good intentions for Thomas, bro was not supposed to make it out alive

You all SHOULD have experienced this scene in theaters. Orlok's voice was so f*cking heavy and loud.

Gods, this really doesn't compare to the way his voice sounds in a theater. The way it shook the chairs and sounded like he was all around you.

I love the way the wind picks up every time he inhales. It implies he's not actually breathing, but rather manipulating the weather to literally force the air into his dead lungs in order to speak.

It's funny to me how Jonathan Harker took several days to realize something was off with Count Dracula, whereas it took about 10 seconds for Thomas to figure out Orlok was a hellish demonic abomination.

I love how his desire to move to a city is based on the more modern mindset which would make people less superstitious and less likely to believe in vampires. He's looking for a place that won't know how to stop the threat he poses

The use of sound design here is so good. When he gets pissed at the constant line of questioning about the Gypsies, the castle starts to breathe with him.

what is funny to me is that if you notice, unlike Dracula or the original Nosferatu, Orlok didn't try a bit to act friendly to fool Thomas, he intimidated him ALL time and kind of revealed his true nature not so long after

This version of Orlok is basically the most book accurate looking Dracula we've had in terms of design

The thing that intrigued me the most about this movie, was the fact that it was a true return to form for the vampire. Not a young, sexy teen heart-throb, but an evil, creepy and grotesque monster. And I have to say, I was not disappointed.

I like how Dracula in the novel was pretty good at acting normal, whereas Orlok is as good at seeming human as a water buffalo wearing a kilt and a raincoat

I love how, despite teleporting himself and Thomas all over the place, he now approaches Thomas eerily slowly. He wanted Thomas to be terrified.

I love how the wind outside kicks up every time he inhales.

3:20 "Yeet"

You can feel the fear of this poor chap, literally! This was a very intense and disturbing scene to say the least!
