Great reaction.  You heard nearly right.  This collaboration with Electric Callboy (yes that is the band name, they are from Germany) was BABYMETAL's idea - they were wanting to make a song that would be pure fun, one that people could dance along with like Electric Callboy's 'We Got The Moves' but they felt something was missing.
They decided to ask EC if they would like to be involved so they went to see EC playing in Boston (they were both there at the same time in 2023) and met up backstage with them before the show.
'RATATATA' was the result.

It is a straight 50-50 collaboration, but it is very much in the EC style - but that was always the intention.
They have played it live together 8 times at festivals in Japan, Germany and Spain.  At Fox_Fest in Japan both times were during the BABYMETAL set where the EC vocalists Kevin and Nico joined them.  At the other festivals they did the same in the BABYMETAL sets and during the EC sets BABYMETAL joined them instead.
With each performance you can see they were just enjoying playing together more each time.

Omajination has made a very good compilation from all the performances in Germany and Spain called 'RATATATA Fu Fu version'.

Electric Callboy are going to make you having a good time... if you want to or not.
Most of their material since clean singer Nico joined in 2020 is uplifting electronicore like Ratatata, but they do have some serious songs and also do toned down acoustic versions (of their own music and covers) too.
They are a six members band (currently five) with the two vocalists, two guitarists, a bass player and a drummer. Since their drummer of 13 years left earlier in 2025 out of private reasons, Frank Zummo (Sum 41) joined for the festival season. So far there was no announcement of a permanent new drummer.

The video was produced by one of EC's band members and his brother - who operate a video production company. They do all of EC's music videos, and always share the bts for each.
It's up on Electric Callboy's channel, and well worth watching (those guys are riddiculously fun)!

BM do fantastic collabs like with EC, Bring Me The Horizon, Slaughter To Prevail, Bloodywood etc etc that are well worth seeing. a couple of the songs that the BM  are "features" on like 'Lil Uzi and FFDP are best avoided though, lol

Not to say that Babymetal isn't fun (in fact, Moa brings that almost constantly), but it's nice to see it in an official video from time to time. Their music videos are usually a little on the serious side compared to the live performances.
