Great reaction.🦊  'Kon Kon' (onomatopoeic for a fox's bark apparently) is a song where, for want of a better description, Japan meets Bhangra (Bloodywood is an Indian Folk/Nu-Metal band from New Delhi).  'Kon Kon' has a lot more Su-metal than their first collaboration in Bloodywood's song 'Bekhauf' (which is always a good thing as far as I'm concerned - and yes I agree her verses and soaring vocals are the best part).

I don't think you have seen the first time BABYMETAL paid homage to Indian music and culture yet - from the 2019 album 'Shanti Shanti Shanti' is a great song - find the live at Legend MM from March 2024.

BABYMETAL are so versatile (that is in no small part due to Su-metal's ability to master so many different vocal styles) and already mix and blend so many musical styles and genres with the metal in their own songs that they can feature or collaborate with virtually any band or artist and will be able to adapt to or even adopt their style - and that is exactly what they have done here.🦊🔥

Bloodywood are the opening band on BABYMETAL's current tour of north America - this was filmed at the Madison Square Garden, Theatre concert in New York.🦊🤘
For me the editing could be better on the video, we don't get to see nearly enough of the incredible (and according to Moa, incredibly strenuous) choreo.

Babymetal is absolutely amazing. Had the pleasure of experiencing this song live twice last month, in Chicago and Baltimore. Bloodywood is an Indian folk metal/Nu-metal band. Raoul raps in English, and Jayant does the harsh in Hindi.

And yeah, Babymetal’s shows are always packed, if not sold out. And the pits go nuts usually haha.

Look forward to more Babymetal!!

Great reaction! You already experienced an effect that hits most people who like what BABYMETAL is doing... "What´s your favourite BABYMETAL song?" - "The one I´m just listening to" 😁 The last one you did was "Song 3", a collab with Slaughter To Prevail. Obviously growling is not your cup of tea, but that´s no tragedy... BABYMETAL (they are Japanese, btw.) have a LOT of different songs to offer, none is like the other, and when their new album hit the charts, there are ~80 songs to discover for you 😄

For this music video, video footage was taken from a live performance, but the studio audio was put over it. The real live instrumentation is even more heavy, thanks to BABYMETAL´s famous "Kami Band", a bunch of the best session musicians you can find, all guys are from the US. These guys always crank it up a notch, regardless what kind of heavy music you throw at them. I had the pleasure to experience "Kon! Kon!" live in May already, the second time "Kon! Kon!" was performed live. Very first time this was performed live was at The Forest in Brussels, Belgium. Sadly, we didn´t get Bloodywood live on stage, the guys were on the video wall instead. Nonetheless it was an awesome live performence 😄

Sadly, the video editing of this music video left out a lot of the choreography Su-Metal (BABYMETAL´s main vocalist), Moametal and Momometal are performing. It is very powerful, and a joy to watch.

Grington300, our loremaster, already gave you an excellent recommendation so that you could experience more of the magic BABYMETAL is performing on stage.

BABYMETAL - Shanti Shanti Shanti Live@Legend MM (2024)

next, please! 😁 The "Legend MM" is the concert name, and, please, try hard to use a video that was taken from this concert "Legend MM". That concert was amazing!

The channel "who?" has a very good version available.

BABYMETAL - Metal Kingdom (Live at PIA Arena 2023) [SUBTITLED] 4K

I would like it to be set up so that it can be translated into Japanese.

TW...It looks like it was shot at Toyota music factory.. if it was I was there with huttton

I completly with you, Su-Metals post chorus is my personal highlight of the song that I love in its entity.
Maybe you have the dent of Celtic, but is definitly Indian.

Yeah it's a different language  -- It's Hindi

A pretty good song but far from being their best music video.  I question the production value: the editing is wanting - it's more of a slide-show than a video.

Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!!

KITSUNE UP!!!   🤘🦊🤘

And exactly this made this song so much more interesting than Bekhauf, which they could have done 10 years ago.  They needed and wanted materials for their shows.
