Tell me in the comments which ending you picked…💔 (don’t spoil the ending I didn’t pick I’ll go back and do the other ending later when I recover! ❤)

"I guess we are entering the finale"...19 minutes into a 2 hour minute video

"You're okay" was the last thing Maelle heard from both real and painted Verso.

And that is why this won Game of the Year across the board. It's an old school, emotionally taxing RPG with modern action elements, and it tells one hell of a story. This is not just game of the year, or game of the decade.... to me, so far, this is the game of the CENTURY, and we have 74 years left to go :O

Maelle's weakness  being burn damage is so evil.

35:46 "I love them too" absolutely emotionally shattering line on a second playthrough

Something I love about this game is how each member of the family seems to represent one of the stages of grief:
Denial is obviously Aline. She fled into the painting and created a fake family, trying to pretend that Verso had never died.
Anger is Clea, waging a war against the Writers, talking about hating Verso for dying,  and all of her vocal deliveries are so full of anger.
Bargaining is Maelle, with how she begs with Renoir not to destroy the Canvas and to let her stay.
Depression is painted Verso. Everything he did across this game was basically an extended suicide attempt, and he just wanted everything to end.
Acceptance is, of course, Renoir. He knows Verso is gone, and he's trying to make everyone else accept it so they can begin to heal.
This game is so incredibly well made, it really is one of the best games ever.

A second playthru really makes every "wft is happening what are they talking about!?" moments make sense

The Paintress rips reality apart.
Maelle: "PARRY IT!"

also I loved how scared Vulpixie got when the Paintress pulled out a paintbrush for a weapon lmao

I missed this game .. by ALOT ... sure , I can pick this game up anytime and replay it .. but it doesn't hit the same anymore .. I missed the OBLIVIOUS FEELING and the Curiosity , the wonders , the danger feeling the more I progress , the question I have .. the first time experience of this game literally THE BEST I've ever felt in my entire life

The Ben Starr effect continues.

For Those Who Come After!

I am a total Hollow Knight Fanboy and I was 100% sure that I would vote for Silksong as game of the year 2025 ... and then I played this game afterwards ...
And I couldn't vote for Silksong anymore ... It's just too good, absolute masterwork of a game in every aspect.

50:50 "It doesnt feel real." looks into the camera

1:41:20 Also Lune must be fuming. She constantly trusts Verso, then he lies and she forgives him and trusts again. And this was the final lie.

and now carbot animations to raise the spirits

No matter how many times i see this ending, the tears fall 1:44:55

Chose Maelle initially...PIT IN MY STOMACH. Then did Verso ending..I can't tell you how many tears I shed to this game.

Renoir's line "If saving you means losing you, then so be it" is iconic. I used it once on a villain I thought I had a connection with.
The music during his fight is also amazing, I love the duet and how they sang. I recommend looking up the lyrics and checking out a superboss.

my favourite hobby: sobbing in front of my 100th stranger's E33 playthrough

Andy Serkis did such a fantastic job as both Renoirs, you can really feel how it pains him to do what he has to for his family. I'm still upset he wasn't nominated for best VA. Don't get me wrong the other VAs for the game that did get nominated did all fantastic but I think his performance was the best of them.
