Let's not forget this isn't just a miscarriage of justice but a criminal conspiracy against an innocent nurse and whistleblower with the participation of a number of individuals and institutions. Everyone who is involved in this scandal should end up in prison.

The GMC will come under justified criticism when Letby is released. The GMC aren't fit for purpose and hopefully when the inquiry looks at the role of the GMC in registering quacks some resignations take place.

A very sobering speech, thank you Dr Norwich and Nineteen Nurses. What is the point of the GMC if it won't investigate consultants whose incompetence puts patients at risk and who have potentially committed perjury?
As for expert witnesses, I hope the exoneration of innocent Nurse Lucy Letby will lead, among other things, to the full implementation of the 2011 Law Commission recommendations on expert witnesses in criminal cases.

Yet another brilliant talk by an actual expert.
It just shows how flawed our justice system is when self appointed experts can pull the wool over police, judges, lawyers and jury with nothing to stop them.
The system stinks and is set up for miscarriages as seen in the past and now with Lucy.
