Prof Ashton was one of the first senior healthcare figures to call the Letby case out as the scapegoating of an innocent and dedicated nurse.

In the Lucy Letby case justice will only be served when for each day she spent in prison its matched by 10 days by other people. This injustice was not an accident.

Great point; from now on, I too will refer to this case as The Countess of Chester scandal. Thank you Prof. John Ashton and Nineteen Nurses. 🙏

Thank you Sir for calling it the Countess of Chester scandal. Lucy is a victim not a perpetrator. Wicked people have been abusing their power since the world began. We haven't progressed much as a species  have we?

I have seen the low calibre of the detectives displayed in their post trial interviews.  Shocking

After working with consultants for many years, I wholeheartedly concur with the Prof on all he says in his talk. Some of the Chester consultants were the most challenging I’ve ever worked with in a 46 yr career working in some of the largest trust hospitals in the country.

What is as questionable as the conduct of the whole prosecution case and the police misconduct and the absolute injustice metered out to an innocent young nurse, is the lawyers lacklustre performance in defence of poor Lucy.   She had absolutely no chance of a fair trial.    She should be released immediately and those guilty of this injustice put on trial .   No amount of compensation can ever give Lucy relief from the horrendous anguish and experience she has suffered.   God bless you and keep you safe until you rejoin the free society that was stolen from you Lucy .  Keep faithful,we know you are innocent.
