Three disturbing historical mysteries, preserved through newspaper reports, official records and surviving accounts.

In this episode:

• In 1872, the Surrency family home in Georgia became the centre of reports involving moving objects, shattered glass, flying books and a clock whose hands reportedly began racing around its dial while witnesses watched.

• In 1921, the five-masted schooner Carroll A. Deering was found abandoned on Diamond Shoals off North Carolina. Its lifeboats, navigation equipment and crew were missing. None of the men aboard were ever confirmed to have been found.

• In December 1900, three lighthouse keepers disappeared from the remote Flannan Isles in Scotland. When the relief vessel finally arrived, the lighthouse was empty and evidence of severe storm damage was discovered near the western landing.

These stories are based on historical newspaper reports, official records and archived sources. Supernatural claims and unexplained events are presented as they were reported and are not stated as proven fact.
