Dude, I love this version of Halloween. As a remake I can feel how much Rob Zombie loves this lore and his passion for horror.

Hot take? I was 10 years old when Rob Zombie released Halloween 2007. He’s a local here in CT. I feel his iteration is much more realistic, and gruesome. This whole “mystery” behind Myers, while it works, it isn’t as believable. Zombie gives Myers substance & believability. This isn’t some little kid from a nice household, with a normal family. This Myers is Brutal. Terrifying, truly. Rob Zombie has a great understanding of trauma, horror, and captures it very well. In my opinion 2007 is the hardest, and best installment since Halloween 78’ and H2 81’

I love the Rob Zombie version! Gives us a background to why Michael became the way he did.  There are so many remakes I dislike. This is not one of them. Just showed how one person can only take so much until they snap.

I can honestly say that I agree with your take 100%. This is Rob Zombie's version of Halloween and I really like it. It's an alternate reality Halloween, basically. I like and respect the different take on it. I prefer a more mysterious Michael, but you can only do the same thing so many times.

I love it i absolutely love it....i love how raw and violent Mike is and i also like the early years version because its something unique in the series

Ive always had a soft spot for these movies because my dad took me to see them when I definetly wasn't old enough to (my mom would've flipped). Also, been loving the videos recently Boss! Keep up the grind, you're a GOATed creator.

I have an idea for a Joe Grisly prequel… he should be a crazy trucker who gets pulled into a scenario where he ens up rescuing a truck full of kids from a human trafficking ring. Make it an action drama kinda thing. The ending would be him saving a large group of kids and hiding them in his trailer. Final moments would be him locking up the trailer and getting ready to drive the kids across the state to safety when he pulls into a truck stop… he parks in a hidden location in case more of the traffickers show up looking for his trailer… he makes his way to the bathroom before the long haul to safety… that’s where he meets Michael Meyers… the end credits linger on the trailer sitting in the roasting sun with whimpering cries. Michael Meyers having inadvertently slaughtered a truck full of kids by leaving them trapped.

I agree, I’m a huge fan of the Texas chainsaw and Friday remakes. I love when remakes try different things and gives a new feel to classics. For that I can respect Halloween 07. Especially when you explained all the studio interference stuff.
Also, I can’t believe this movie’s gonna be 20 next year 😮

I thought it was ok. I felt the back story was a pretty cliche serial killer origin story ( we had already even seen Freddy abusing animals, being teased, and being abused by his father figure 15 years earlier in Feddy's Dead).  That being said, it was well acted and I liked a lot of the climax.

I love the theatrical cut wont talk about the director cut , everything else he makes is trailer trash

Outside of the Original and Halloween Kills, I think The Rob Zombie duo halloween films are classics. My second favorite portrayal of mike, and without Rob Zombie’s halloween, i dont think we see that iconic haddonfield vs michael scene in Halloween Kills. Clearly that scene was homage to Rob Zombie’s Michael.

Few years back when I was just getting into the horror genre Rob Zombie's Halloween  movies were mine first introduction to the Halloween franchise. I really didn't get the hate against it, now understand where they are coming from.

I always felt like the original Halloween '78 could have been cut down to like 40 minutes, so I enjoy that the last half of RZ's Halloween is basically that.
The only thing that almost ruins this movie for me is the Director's Cut breakout scene. Not only is it trashy and weird, but the theatrical version was just better in general.

Perfect timing man . Just rewatched both Rob Zombie movies

I think this is a really good movie cause it shows what Michael would be like if some parts of him were human. It’s also very philosophical in the sense that it dives into topics like empathy, kindness, human sexuality, why the way you raise children matters, how to properly build a society rather than just “the embodiment of evil”.

I hate the first half of this movie. The dialog is just so bad.
Michael's parents are basically the non murderous devils rejects. The bullies at school, everyone is just such a cartoon character.
How could anyone take this seriously

Rob zombies movies are I think by far the scariest version of Michael he is just so massive and scary the mask is just ridiculously scary Tyler mane did a fantastic job by far my favorite versions besides Halloween 2018

I dig it. I didn’t care for the husband/wife screaming but the rest was good. And what a scary Michael Myers!!

I love the rob zombie halloween,I dont understand the hate,no one has been as creative with michaels story since john carpenters original.michael was huge and one of the most brutal in the franchise.i liked how we got to see young michael and rob zombies take on how he grew up.we never got that with any other movie.i put this halloween in my top 5 of the franchise.the creativity and detail rob put into this was amazing.zombies halloween, the og carpenter,h20 and og 2 are some that I revisit alot more than the others.

I never got the hate, I appreciate a director/writer coming in with their own vision and changing it up! What would be the point in just remaking it shot for shot? The dialogue does suck though and makes me cringe, but I do enjoy it! I understand it takes away the supernatural ambiguity but if you want that, just watch the OG films!
