We've got another patron's choice movie today! This time we're watching the cult classic horror/sci-fi film "Cube" (1997)! This one got me right out of the gate with that opening "trap" surprise! And while I did manage to call certain things that happened, I also was shocked on more than one occassion! A very smart independent film from the 90s that, while not necessarily having the strongest acting, still very much holds up, in my opinion! What did you guys think of this one?

Speaking of which, I like how he did the music for this movie. It's very claustrophobic, unsettling and atmospheric soundscape.
It's more or less a very minimalist, electronic and synth based score with no real orchestral elements found too much. I also really liked the use of female vocals. It's also hard to explain it but it feels very creepy and suspenseful.
It all would had worked out fine and all of them would be alive. This movie is one of the greatest mind fucks to have ever been made. A shame it never truly got the love and appreciation it deserved when it first came out. But I'm glad that people are starting to understand it more and giving it a chance.
I had forgotten about this one. I think you are one of the very few who could get me to watch it again.
While I'm a big fan of Dystopias ... Nihilistic Nightmares, not so much.
