It's their "tribal family".It's where they feel they belong and everything is OK in defense of the tribe and its' honor.The most violent ones are looked on as defenders of the tribe and are "leaders"  held in awe if not highly regarded.For speaking out against them you would be labeled a traitor to the tribe and a target for derision at least.
