Phoebe, you will be floored with their live performances! My favorites are
The Sky is Red, The Flood and Slave. But all their live performances are above expectations!

Instant click for Phoebe and Leprous! A few recommendations from them: Alleviate, Illuminate, Below, Acquired taste, Slave, The Valley, Rewind, On Hold, The sky is red, From the flame, Nighttime disguise, The Price, Contaminate me (feat. Ihsahn), Take on me (A-ha "cover"). For starters 😂 You can find a good live, or live in studio version on most of these. Obviously original recordings are great too.

As a really ancient dude, Leprous made me realise that there is a prog band out there that is happy to remember that "recycling prog tropes from the 60s and 70s" is not really progressive. The voice of Einar is carrying all the pains, angers, regrets and despairs accumulated since the dawn of civilisation. And they do that shit for 2 hours straight on tour. Baard, the drummer - he is a really interesting drummer by any international metrics of the best drummers in himself, while solving odd-number metrics, and his playthrough videos and Drumeo appearances have massive views for a reason. Leprous somehow makes prog feel relevant and dangerous again.

So glad to see you find Lepros, so many great songs for you to discover.

My favorite Leprous song is 'Bonneville' which de-throned 'Rotten Apple' by Alice in Chains as my favorite song all-time

Favorite live performance is 'Passing' from their most recent live album.

On Hold Live in studio is probably my favorite leprous song. It's perfect in my opinion.

Below, Like a Sunken Ship, Castaway Angel, The Price, Alleviate official videos. Slave and Passing live. The Musora video where the do a cover of A-has Take On Me. The 17 minute version that show their process is fun.

Leprous is amazing please do more content with them!

I saw them live last year and they were amazing!! Coolest part of their show is they take requests. So they’ll ask the crowd what song we want to hear and they play it! Also, their drummer Baard Kolstad is one of the best drummers right now! He’s got an episode on Drumeo and it was amazing!

Also never heard, how beautiful!

It's hard to pick one favorite from such a great band with so much material. It's easy to be awestruck by Einar's voice and Baard's drumming, but the current lineup plays so tight together that it's like they were all meant to be there. Slave (Live at Rockefeller), On Hold (Live in Studio), The Sky Is Red (Live Video 2020) and Castaway Angels (Official Video) are great live performances to check out next.

@ernonikkola1084 5 months ago

Baard Kolstad is probably the most dynamic drummer in metal

Wow....that's me.....thanks for doing some (more) Leprous Phoebe....loving the channel.....

My favorite leprous song as well live performance is Flood. That always blows me away.
I can only imagine how inundated you are with requests. Anything I recommend, never feel an obligation to feature on your channel. I never want to add to the craziness of the weight of everything going on. Your channel should be a safe place for you to explore music and your own heart. It should never become a chain.

The drummer in leprous, Baard Kolstad, is consider as one of the best progressive drummer in the world. They are all really good but he is something special

I have followed Leprous since about 2011, and just love how they have been able to evolve their sound and style without losing quality.

If you want to hear some old Leprous, I can recommend Restless, or if you're feeling extra experimental/proggy: White. Last one doesn't have a music video, but the song is amazing.

Only two members who remain from this era, but Einar is one of them, so you still have the voice 😊

One of my top 3 favorite bands! Do Slave Live at Rockerfeller....fantastic live performance. I've seen them live several times and they are PHENOMINAL....
