Your content is a big comfort in hard times, David. Thanks for all the effort you put in.

you're carrying so much weight for the ASOIF fandom, I think you will be rewarded big time for your faithful service to the lore.

Maesters: “The Valyrians are godless.”

Also Maesters: “The Valyrians worship hundreds of gods.”

ADHD thought: I was just listening to this while tending to my aquarium, and an idea struck me.

Egg scattering fish will just toss eggs out, and never look back. Another fish comes to layer their genetic matter on the eggs, and guards the eggs in a cave like environment until the babies can fend for themselves. (Plecos/catfish/clownfish/egg scattering breeds). This also protects the spawn from Cannibal types, and prevents resource strain by having multiple adults in the same territory needing food. It also means that egg clutches are being spread far and wide.

What if the maesters never saw dragon mating because dragons simply breed when a second dragon chooses to incubate the egg, regardless of gender and that is what dragon blooded Targaryens mimic it when eggs are put alongside newborns. Vermax's size would've been an asset for future breeding compared to Vhagar.

Three heads has the dragon indeed.

Moon kissing the Sun sounds quite a bit like an eclipse, which would be symbolic and reflect on the significance people had put into eclipses in real life.

I believe one day, when WoW will be released, there would be a new character, Davy or David, who’s gonna be brutally unalived. Martin would tell the press “there’s one guy, I hate him, he has been solving my puzzles for years, and I dreamt about handling him in GoT way”

Just realized I found your channel in 2016 which means I have now been a subscriber for a decade! 😮 it’s much harder for me to catch your lives these days because I have a toddler but you’re still consistently my favorite channel on YouTube. I always eventually watch your videos, even if months late 😂 thanks for 10 years of entertainment!

Praise Barth, praise Qarth but most of all, praise Garth!

If there’s one book I’d like to read from Planetos it’s Barth’s Unnatural history. It’s a shame Baelor destroyed all copies (yet somehow the testimony of mushroom survived whole).

I wonder how significant it is that arguably the greatest mind in the history of Westeros was NOT a maester? Certainly I can't imagine him being free to write so much about the higher mysteries had he been at the citadel...

as a side note my favorite Cannibal theory is that The Cannibal was supposed to be my dragon and hates everything because I am not in the books

On cannibal, I think that both theories could be right: Cannibal was an egg from the previous residents of dragonstone, but didn't hatch until after the Targs settled there, or was still a young dragon when they arrived, which would make both the small folk and Barth correct, and your theory correct. Having a wild dragon loose, even a small one, would make a strong impression on the small folk, but may not have been an issue for the newly arrived dragon lords until it grew big enough to be a problem, so no official record would exist until after the Targs had been there a while. Since that's where Barth would've got his info from, he would naturally doubt the tales of the small folk.

Bro it just hit me. The ultimate subversion of expectations. The winds of winter will never be finished because George has been watching your content for years and he feels he can never top it. The ultimate asoiaf irony. And as the days and years go on we will come to realize that the winds of winter were just the friends (online community) we made along the way.

This isn’t a knock tho. Now I’m going to finish watching the video. Carry on ser. Thank you

Something that occurred to me, and probably many others at this point, is that the fire wyrm dracomorph theory aligns with eastern vs western depictions of dragons. The Great Empire of the Dawn, as the precursors to Yi Ti, bred the dragons by combining fire wyrms with wyverns. From this, the first dragons were probably a lot more serpentine in appearance, similar to dragon depictions in real world eastern mythology. Now given that Yi Ti is heavily themed off of imperial China, it aligns thematically that the first serpent-like dragons originated from a place based off of Eastern mythology

Sounds exactly like the moon crossed into its Rochefort limit: the distance at which a foreign celestial body's gravitational force eclipses ones own gravitational binding force, ripping the moon apart.

This video is such a supremely well done marriage of my main interests David. I can't thank you enough ❤️

The video that was promised! Cheers!

Currently working on a video about Jon Snow’s true name possibly being Aemon while watching this and wanted to add that the Egyptian god Amun, who is often combined with the sun god Ra, married Mut the mother goddess and together they had a son who was the moon, a symbol of healing, and a protector from evil spirits. Amun’s Roman/ Greek equivalent is Zeus/Jupiter :) fun stuff, feels tied into the moon meteor long night  symbolism.

That Dracomorph video has got to be my favorite theory on this channel!

Ah how timely. I’ve got 45 minutes before my shift starts

I just realize  maybe Azor Ahai get the nickname "Shadowchaser" because instead of going to west to westeros he go east: from Asshai to its "shadows" and he end up seeing the pale light of Oldtown the high tower. Like the Quiate prophecy? Maybe I am wrong. Sorry english is not my best language. Thank you for the video you are awesome.
