Cameos: The pirate put into the Boo Box was played by Glenn Close, young Wendy was played by Gwyneth Paltrow, and the police investigator was played by Phil Collins.

"Oh, there you are, Peter!" brings me to tears every time.

"To live would be an awfully big adventure"

Really hits different these days, I'm just glad I can say I walked this earth for some of the time that Robin Williams did.

I consider this one of the Silverberg’s great films. The story is actually pretty deep and works on multiple levels if you look into the meanings behind the narrative.

I never wanted to be a father until I saw this movie in my 30s. Then I wanted nothing else. I adopted my wife's daughter when she was 7 (she's now 32) and it has been even more magical than I could have ever imagined.

I watched this with my boys when they were 5 and 3. When he tells Jack that he was his happy thought, my eldest gave me the biggest hug. I'll never forget that. One of my happy thoughts.

What's interesting is that Bob Hoskins would again play Smee several years later in a completely unrelated Peter Pan project. He nailed it both times because he was perfect for the role.

38:51 Damn, Jen's Hook impression is ON POINT

Good form indeed!

I love that when Jack is unleashing his emotions, it starts off as childish complaints such as "You never let me jump on my own bed", gradually descending into "Breaking promises you don't intend to keep."

Fun fact, Hook released exactly one week after Pan Am ceased operations (Dec 4 vs Dec 11, '91).

The scene where Peter finally finds his happy thought, remembers who he is, returns to the Lost Boys, and makes a believer/ally out of Rufio still gives me chills.
