Hook (1991) Movie Reaction! Robin Williams as a grown-up Peter Pan caught me completely off guard. I’m reacting to this classic Steven Spielberg movie starring Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman, Julia Roberts, and Bob Hoskins.

This Hook reaction has everything: Captain Hook, Neverland, Peter Pan, Rufio, Tinker Bell, and one of the most nostalgic movies from the 90s. What was your favorite moment from Hook (1991)?

Original Movie: Hook (1991)

For me, this movie is like "Never let that inner child in you die..."

Key lessons from this movie for us adults: exercise and stay physically fit, know how to fight, don't lose our imagination, don't take life too seriously and hold onto our happy thoughts and memories.

The day Robin Williams died;, this was the first movie that I watched. I watched almost the majority of all of his films that I grew up with I couldn’t stop crying during the whole film.

No other "Hook", will be able to beat Dustin Hoffman's performance.

what i love about Rufio is that as soon as it was clear that peter was BACK-back he 100% changed his tune. if only we could all be so ready to accept change/see the error of our ways

The live-action Peter Pan (2003) starring Jason Isaacs is the ideal companion piece to this movie.

Gwyneth Paltrow played young Wendy in the flashbacks.

Btw, Rufio is played by Dante Bosco, the voice actor of Prince Zuko in Avatar. 😊

As an adult, I can identify with Jack and with Peter. This will always be my favorite kids movie, it hits so hard.

In case nobody has mentioned it yet: The scene, where Rufio says "You're dead, Jolly man.", was filmed in reverse. There was no other way (at the time), to create that effect. This means that the child actor had to learn how to play the role, in reverse. The choreography AND the lines were ALL preformed BACKWARDS! They moved and spoke everything, in reverse. The Audio was added, after the fact. Now THAT's how you make a movie!
