Wow, Im glad Finn made this deep dive 29 and a half minute video on how Lorna Shore invented deathcore all the way back in 2021, I never would have known. That kind of insight is exactly why he deserves his title of internet's busiest music nerd!

Those are all great screamo bands, Finn.

MGK to reinvent deathcore next. One uncomfortable shoe at a time.

Just before he died in a frenzied moshpit during a breakdown, my Dad named and aggressively gate-kept deathcore. He’s turning and spinkicking in his grave now.

Suicide Silence were the first deathcore band I ever properly enjoyed. I felt like they wrote actual songs, instead of just a bunch of musical moments thrown together.

Couldn’t agree more about Winds of Plague being underrated. Such a good band

I was raised with Job for a Cowboy and As blood runs black, glad to watch this deep dive into this genre

I love that you gave ABRB and WoP their flowers. They both were a huge influence in my musical tastes even to this day

Man, this video truly showcases how much more life and character old Deathcore had compared to nowadays. It’s just so much catchier and fun.

I saw "Dearhcore" in my notifications and got excited 😢

Tactosa has been bringing that old school suicide silence type energy back and I'm here for it

New merch coming soon. Collab with CoreKid back of shirt says “undiagnosed mental health issues, personality disorder, possible autism and trauma response” so everyone knows they’re a real CoreKid.

i truly believed people actually looked at the singer's attire and what they portrayed, and didnt listen to the actual music and they were truly hated. I always really really enjoyed them

Happy to see Winds of Plague get some credit here. My buddies band opened for them back in 06-07. They were probably my first exposure to deathcore. I was blown away by how heavy they were. Instantly a fan.

As blood runs black is AMAZING!!!!

People really don’t understand how divided core and metal was. Totally different islands and no bridge between. The people on each island were very tribalistic and despised the other camp. The first bands that were first to cross the death metal and hard core were not understood or that well received.

Man, did All Shall Perish ‘The Price of Existence’ and ‘Awaken the Dreamers’ not exist? OGs with incredible guitars and drumming.

I love old deathcore and also new deathcore, early deathcore was raw and you can tell they put all their energy into it. Nowadays really everything is like over produce. And it sounds to perfect
