Yeah the manager is in on it. The fact they took her using a friend's discount more serious than the incident is proof imo. Hence the intimidation attempt.

allowing customers to get sexually harassed, then lying about filing a report about it, and then accusing them of fraud is crazy especially from a five star luxury hotel

The managers were having sanctioned sex parties at the Hyatt, and corporate should want to know and should want to address it... immediately.

Never call hotel security first. Always police first. Security is usually part of it in a lot of places.

Sounds like a sex trafficking/money laundering scheme.

I am a General Manager for Wyndham resorts and hotels and in my opinion this was handled completely wrong by the manager. The food and beverage manager tried, but obviously did not succeed. The guest wanted to be heard. Wyndham is a franchise. I don’t answer to Wyndham. I am independently owned and operated (like most franchises) however, if they call corporate, I have 48 hours to respond to the complaint and if not, I get fined on my franchise bill $500 for each customer care complaint that was not handled. I am completely flabbergasted that this was not handled properly at all. It would be perfect on  what not to do in the hospitality industry.

from what I've gathered, it seemed as though the hotel hosts these public parties to possibly garner clients for sex workers and then gain from their cut, like robert said! wow...

The thing that really shows that the hotel was wrong was that they tried to accuse her of wrongdoing to scare her from taking it up to corporate.

1:24 fun fact the origin is from the movie, “Boyz in the Hood” right before an ominous point in the movie

14:21 If someone repeatedly tells you that the cops won't do anything, call the cops. They're trying to scare you out of it, which means they have something to hide.

I have friends that are SW'ers and they would NEVER do this creepy shit. 1. It's dangerous for them and 2. It's gross and shitty. They know what it's like getting followed after a shift. They know what it's like getting cornered. They know what it's like not having their no taken seriously. Makes me think the hotel was in on it for sure, and she was expected to make a quota.

Also not totally relevant but remember Sex Work includes everything from gogo dancing, stripping, camming, fetish modeling, kink sessions without sexual touching, (one of my friends was a domme and literally insulted men over text for pay. If it's sexually motivated in some way, it can be counted as sex work) etc to what people typically think of which is referred to as "full service". Even then, not all full service is through encounters like this because again it is unsafe. If someone is doing that, there's usually a worse underlying reason for them to risk their own personal well being.

Robert my idea of hell also ,lots of strangers mingling in a body of yukky water .Yuk

''my idea of hell'' me too oh my god, going for the breakfast buffet at a hotel is enough of a interaction with other guests for me

people don't know Boyz n tha Hood anymore :/

Hyatt corporate needs to be aware of this because they're using the Hyatt name. It could be misunderstood or bad information that Hyatt allows illegal parties at their properties.

Having stayed in 5* hotels in London...this would NEVER be acceptable anywhere I've stayed!!! There is something very fishy going on with that manager!!!

This reminds me of a trip to Ghana where a male colleague was chased down the corridor by a middle aged lady of the night. She was wearing a polyester dress, sensible shoes and looked very matronly. She even put her foot in his hotel room door and he had to force her out.  Although we laughed, and it was visually comical, he was quite traumatised. We swapped hotels after that as management were in on it. I subsequently realised that the handsome young men in the lobby were there for single lady travellers...

Yeah no. Whoever’s at fault here better start writing their obituary. The CCP absolutely doesn’t want this being the impression of China that foreign tourists get, especially the rich ones.

Sex work is completely illegal in China ON PAPER. But some laws in China are not enforced properly. Big examples are sex work, sexual harassment/assault, and domestic violence. Just last year I was beaten up by my uncle in China and had to go to the hospital. The local police did absolutely nothing and he just walk off without even getting a fine. So…yeah.

The Saxophones come from the movie "Boyz n the Hood" (1991) ...

In Boyz n the Hood, swelling saxophone music—performed by jazz musician Kirk Whalum during Stanley Clarke's film score—foreshadows the tragic drive-by shooting of character Ricky Baker. The audio acts as a dramatic signal for impending disaster or unavoidable misfortune

This lady's story and experience sounds so scary and horrible.. it's a shame women can't feel safe anywhere
