Someone who would fire you for professionally shutting down racist talk is NOT trustworthy. She's better off without that job. She'll see.

I'm glad she referred to this client as a bully. Perfectly accurate way to describe her.

Personally,I feel if you hear sh*t like that and you don’t say something,you’re condoning it. F*ck that owner and the customer. Right is right. People are way too comfortable being horrible human beings.

This behavior immediately tells me the salon owner is racist too and I would not step foot in that business. Idc if they're an immigrant, idc if they're not white, can still be racist. Siding with a vocal racist vs your employee when it's extremely easy to just tell the client to go fuck herself is a LOUD action. Every salon I have ever been to has had a 'we reserve the right to refuse business to anyone for any reason' policy. This would be that kind of time.

Make racists ashamed again!! Hats off to that beautiful woman who spoke out against that vile racist POS! Shame on that salon owner, they are part of the problem! I wish this awesome woman all the luck and success in the world because she clearly deserves better than what that salon had to offer. 💯

This is a perfect example of why the U.S. is the way it is. Bigots get to spew their hate, "nice" people stay silent because their comfort is more important than standing up against bigotry. The people who are brave enough to speak up get immediately silenced and retaliated against.

If you rather fire an employee for not being a raging racist then you’re likely sharing those views as well. Or you lack respect for yourself.  To the First Lady, I hope she finds great employment.

If I were a business owner, I’d MUCH rather “lose a customer” than provide a service to someone who doesn’t respect me or my employees. And that nasty woman had a lot to say about immigrants and people of color but had no problem having them do her hair 🙄

Hairstylist here. My manager would have fired that !@#$% client for refusing to cut it out with the bigotry and bullying a stylist. I can't believe they not only didn't intervene on behalf of their employees but then turned around and fired her! And what's more - I live in the deep south! These people are in NYC!

Dominique is clearly a real one and she will be better off without them - but she still should never have had to be in that situation.
