welcome, people after the announcement of Mario Kart World. no this video does not have super circuit, no i wont be updating it

listen to my music https://youtube.com/@squish_39

MK64 Modified the leitmotif a bit. Then MK8 went all out and said, "Fuck it, we're going full retro"

I have to be honest I thought Mario Kart 64 was its own theme but now I fully realized lol

It also appears in Super Circuit briefly towards the end

Every Rainbow Road theme that used Mario Kart 64 motif

I have to say, MK8 seems to should that leitmotif the loudest and the proudest out of all the Mario Kart title themes. The MK8 title theme up and says "Hey! This is the most important part of the song!" and then they play a second loop of it!

I actually really liked what they did with 64-7, because you can hear that it's based on the original, but just different enough to become its own thing. But 8 bringing it back to that original sound was amazing too. Super Circuit actually does use it too, but it's stylized much more differently that it's harder to hear it, but it's definitely the same theme.

HOLY SHITTT WHEN I JUST REALIZED THAT THEY ALL USE THE LEITMOTIF- MIND ABSOLUTLEY BLOWN! MKWII LITERALLY BROUGHT CHILLS CAUSE IVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 13 YEARS AND NEVER NOTICED IT AT ALL

The use of Mario spinning to show WHEN the motif hits is fucking genius 🎉

Love this motif, it unifies each entry in a way.

The leitmotif is also used in the Single Pak Multiplayer race music from Super Circuit.

I’m nostalgic for Mario Kart Wii and all, but honestly, Mario Kart 7 and 8 did it the best.

7 took the MK64’s version of the leitmotif and just made it slap hard.

And 8 took the SNES leitmotif and was like “You know what, JAZZ”.

Now Mariokart World still have it with a cool guitar :3

I love how every entry didn't forget about the game that started a whole new genre of gaming

That was cute how mario said goodbye

The crazy part is when the leitmotif was used , it was like the best part of the song, especially with DS, 64, and 7

It kinda of is in Super Circuit, it’s just the chord progression

After 11 years... Time to update this 🔥🔥🔥

Brilliant idea with Mario spinning whenever the motif plays, a lot of people miss it the first time.

I love how with each rendition after 64, the fanfare gets more upbeat and intense, like each new game is one big party on it's own! Brings a smile to my face.
