"Which Rainbow Road style should we use?"
MKW: "Everything. All of it."

MKW's Rainbow Road to me is meant to be a celebration rather than a challenge and I'm all for it.

Mostly for the presentation, Mario Kart World's has got to be my favorite Rainbow Road.

You forgot to comment on the build up to World's Rainbow Road- The Approach where you drive towards Crown Bridge from Peach Stadium when a rainbow pillar appears in the distance and you go flying up to the Cosmos, much like when you do for the Great ? Block Ruins, then the screen fades to white and suddenly BAM you've made it to Rainbow Road! It's so beautiful. Forget that it's an actual straight line from Peach Stadium, but, that straight line is the greatest "in-between courses" sections because it's leading to the most incredible Rainbow Road. I get that's not part of the course, but, it's part of the EXPERIENCE, Nathan!

I get why its not as popular, but GBA Rainbow Road has a really nice flow to it that just feels satisfying to go through

World’s RR in a nutshell:
“Oh, you’re a road, alright. Just not a RAINBOW one!”
“Oh yeah, what’s the difference?”
“PRESENTATION!”

Wii's rainbow road (Original ver.) Will always be my favourite one, mostly for the soundtrack. MK Wii has amazing songs for its tracks. I do also enjoy it because of its difficulty and the classic animation of your vehicle lighting up in flames when you fall off the track before Lakitu saves you.

I really like the layout and song for World's rainbow road too.

N64 Rainbow road depends on your mood. It’s annoying when you realize how long it is, but it’s really cool sometimes.

1:59 the reason why the Paper Mario reference is here is because Super Circuit was actually developed by Intelligent Systems unlike most other Mario Kart games

@Hyper227 1 year ago (edited)

The reason why that Rainbow Road has the flying Bowser’s castle is cause Intelligent Systems who developed the 1st Paper Mario also made Super Circuit on GBA.

13:33 what was that jump 🤣

I would love to see a ranking of all the bowser castle tracks because their are loads of them and I want to see where world's bowser castle compares to the others.

World’s rainbow road is just something else. Playing through it for the first time, after completing all the other grand prix, was such an amazing experience. I was so impressed with the graphics and all of the different themes we see in the race. It’s definitely my favorite rainbow road, even if it’s a bit easy

Can't say I agree the 8 version of wii rainbow road being higher than the original.
The original is just iconic for how chaotic it is and I'll always love it for that, whilst the 8 version just feels a bit more watered down to me
