i think it might be an universal rule that no one figures out you can upgrade your technology slots by just clicking on them in the exosuit menu same as inventory slots.

Funny how you mention Sean Murray being what Todd Howard wishes he was, because when No Man Sky released it had mostly negative reviews that were almost identical to Starfields negative reviews

the 27 achievements do not cover much of the game. They where designed initially for upload to steam for the achievement section of the game. It encompasses roughly 30% of things you can achieve in the game. It doesnt cover owning all 12 sentinel ships, flying or owning at least for a day all possible ships types. Doesnt cover owning all the types/class of frigates available or the 30 escort ships you can fill out your fleet with. Doesn't cover research all techs for 1. ship. 2. multi tool. 3. exosuit. all upgrades for exocraft. It doesn't cover build all exocraft, build a base on every planet type. build an underwater base. collect at least 1 of all possible mineable resources. Cook all types of available recipes. etc etc ..its incomplete. It only there to tick the achievement box for steam. An does not encompass not even half of what is possible in this game an not to mention all the new content, ie corvettes. Its a shame as the community has been asking for an updated achievement list from the dev's for years.

tl;dr of No Man's Sky:

You wake up on a strange planet with no memory, repair your ship, and follow mysterious signals that lead you across the stars. Along the way you uncover the tragic fate of Artemis, meet other Travelers, and discover that the galaxy itself is a vast simulation created by the Atlas, an artificial intelligence that is now breaking down. As you explore deeper, you learn the Sentinels are its guardians, trying to maintain order, and eventually you are faced with a choice: reset the simulation and create a new universe, reject the Atlas and keep living in a decaying reality, or simply keep wandering the stars. After this choice, the story fades into the background and you’re free to explore, trade, build, and discover indefinitely.

watching him sell larval cores instead of refining them into 50 nanites each hurt my soul

The reason why bones don’t give you as many credits now is because the Relics update introduced a mechanic for putting bones together into fossil displays. It’s now those displays that get you tons of credits.

The sentinel ship quest, while a bit of a pain,  leads to my favorite ship type in the whole game. I still prefer my sentinel ship over corvettes

Im honestly so happy to see playthroughs like this, the transformation from "eh i have no idea what's happening" to full immersion and adoration of the scale and beauty of the game and its story. Its easily my favourite game, and seeing people love it so much makes me so happy

As one of the people waiting on Valheim... you are correct sir.

As one of the few in that 0.8 % Welcome to the club! I did this a few years ago with a group of other players as a race to the center in Permadeath. Took me like 8 hours and i died at least 3 times and had to start over, but I did it!

Man, I forgot how relaxing this game can be (while not on permadeath lol)

A 2 hour video on the greatest redemption arc game ever by the goat himself, lets go now this is peak cinema

the permadeath reach the center of the galaxy is extremely easy it just takes forever... its extremely hard to die in NMS if you have played the game for at least 50 hours prior which isnt alot for NMS because saves can go on for hundreds of hours
once you understand that the most important thing you can do is literally just look for passive income for materials the perma death becomes trivial you just collect the materials craft what you need sell the rest and use that money to buy things you couldnt craft with it
FUN FACT THOSE STORMS ALWAYS HAPPEN AT THE START

I'd played this game for about 15 hours, a bit when it came out to my largest disappointment (I was a preorderer), and then again a couple years later to a slightly less disappointment, but it just never hooked me.

About 2 days ago I start playing again, and I've already doubled my play time, I am absolutely addicted. It just got.. fun, like so much fun lmao and I've still barely scratched the surface. The mad lads just went and did it, I'm actually glad I bought the game at release now, craziest redemption arc of all time.

The most "futuristic" and immersive experience I had in my life is playing No mans sky in VR. Out of this world experience.

Oh I'm actually really happy to hear the language learning is still in the game. I don't know why it was my favorite part, but it was, and I was worried it got scrapped in all the updates so I never got back into the game.

that is an amazing example of really good game and developers who actually love their product

Lands on planet that has fungal mold "im gonna scan some stuff for nanites"  lol

A week ago I got one of those "Is It Worth It?" videos in my recommendations. The guy sold the game to me.
Yesterday I bought it for €20 and sank 12 hours into it already.

Now for some, that might not be much, in two days but keep in mind, I am a trucker and have done this while at work.
