We’re finally reacting to Eminem’s “Rap God,” and I went into this trying to figure out one thing: what exactly did MGK hear that made him think challenging Eminem was a good idea?
The deeper this song went, the crazier it got. Eminem is stacking schemes, references, punchlines, hip-hop history and pure confidence all over this track. The Run-DMC Hall of Fame connection, the Pharaoh Monch reference, the Superman bars, the fast-flow section, and those slower pockets where the bravado really hits all stood out to me.
What impressed me most is that he’s not just rapping fast—he’s actually saying something, building full schemes, referencing the culture and proving he’s a real hip-hop head.
By the end, I had one conclusion: MGK should’ve left this alone.

J.J. Fad was a women's rap group back in the day. They had a track called Supersonic, and "summa-lumma, dooma-lumma" is a rough adlib from the track. I'd imagine outside of the dope bar, there's a bit of bait for people that swear he just does "lyrical miracle" rap. Em is bananas on this jawn.
