The USA have learned the Lesson since GENERAL STUPID SCHWARTZKOPF was a Commander
Using the REGIMENT is simply the very best solution to many problems

Obviously didn't read history of WW2 where the SAS was born in the desert

De la Billetterie was a brilliant soldier. I have followed his career for years.

Schwarzkopf actually changed his opinion after seeing what the SAS were capable of.

Red Pagoda, old school, and sadly worked under many names in many places, but all the time we co-operated with allies we heard much of the same ego bashing from hard school brss.
It didn,t bother us, we knew when we joined we were ghosts in the machine.
But desert work was like going back in time, we loved it.

The Israelis were ready to bomb Iraq but stepped back when told that the SAS were going in. Scud activity after that event dropped away to almost nothing.

So-called "friendly-fire" incidents are commonplace and not a recent phenomonon. During Blitzkrieg, German armour on or near the front lines draped Nazi flags across their decks to avoid being bombed by Stukas

Why are there 3 identical SAS blokes in the picture, triplets I suppose.

The more of these you watch the easier it gets to understand why the US keeps losing conflicts and wars. Perhaps instead of its leaders being brilliant 'purchasers' of expensive gear, they ought to have a rethink on how they pick targets... not to mention, maybe learn that an open-wallet might not be the answer to success! As for the utter fools that question the effectiveness of the SAS... aren't there McDonald's management jobs for them?

Yes remember the A10. Killing British troops in a a troop carrier ? Fing unbelievable. The Abraham’s firing on a British Challenger. Until the Challenger crew. Thought enough was enough. And the challenger took out the Abraham’s. . It was hushed up. Because of the British troop carrier incident. Please don’t ask me how I know this. It’s classified. Just the general info. It happened.

De la billiere. Should have been the commanding officer of the gulf war. Not Schwarzkopf.

Maybe some Americans should learn about Christian Craighead.

USA... seems to have leaders who know no world history. They never listen to knowledgeable advice from anyone, do they realise that other countries have experience as well.

@h.martinsmith7839 1 month ago

As my grandfather would say, if the germans were bombing the british ducked. If British bombed the germans ducked.
If the yanks bombed, everyone ducked.
