This was my FIRST time actually trying to understand Formula 1. What should I watch/react to next? 👀

Chloe does a longer video that goes into more depth on the manufacturing - worth a watch!

16:25  You're not sitting in an F1 car, you're almost lying down...
You can see it in this video at 14:28...
And once you've settled into your custom-molded seat, you can take
a look at the steering wheel, it's a piece of technology on its own...

On the weekend of October 23-25, they will race at Circuit of The Americas, Austin...
On the weekend of November 20-22, they will race at Las Vegas Strip Circuit, Las Vegas...  🏁🏁👍

10:37 Jackpot

5:59  That’s the whole point of doing this, most F1 teams are from car manufacturers and they turn these racing successes into advertising.

17:16 Formluar 1 cars won't go electric, because there is already Formluar E for that.

The guy you want to beat the most is your team mate.

I haven't really seen reactors reacting to the history of F1 cars, that would be great 👍

7:50 YESSSS PLS DOOOOOO OMG

ricks f1 addiction is a good channel for f1 content aswell

f1 has visited miami, texas, las vegas

Yeah, it's interesting especially every 5-6 years when they change the rules, you see very different cars in the first races, when everybody is making their own inturbution of the rules. Then during the season all tend to look more and more the same as all copy the car that race best.

F1 was in the States early. But now there are three F1 races in the states: US GP on Circuit of the Americas (San Antonio, TX), Miami Grand Prix and Las Vegas Grand Prix. Some of the previous venues - Indianapolis (Indianapolis Grand Prix Circuit - inside the Indy 500 oval), Detroit, Las Vegas (two seasons - on the Caesar's Palace parking lot), Watkins Glenn, Long Beach, Dallas, Phoenix, Sebring and even the Indy oval. Miami and modern era Las Vegas combine streets and purpose built racing circuit parts.

some F1 team factories manufactured medical equipment during covid. McLaren started manufacturing respirators for example.

Cadillac paid over 1 Billion from building facilities and dilution fee, which is what Cadillac had to pay other teams since Cadillac would be taken a portion of the winning since the 11th at the end of the year

Not every track is the same and when they go to a track the teams each time rebuild the car, after the race the car is dismantled  to be shipped to another track.
As not every track is the same you have a different set-up of the car for each track, like for instance different front wing.
Also you have to take into account the weather, is it raining, windy, hot, cold, for each of these different conditions the car is set-up differently.
The FIA has a rule book of the dimensions and specifications of the car. The 11 teams in 2026 build their own car to that rule book.
A team like Mercedes has a Mercedes engine its car, Ferrari a Ferrari engine, McClaren a McClaren engine but a team like Red Bull had a deal with Honda to use Honda engines in their cars, when that deal was going to end Red Bull didn't renew their contract with Honda but said we are going to build our own engine.
Some tracks are street circuits like Monaco, Las Vegas, Baku, Montreal to name a few.
For tyres they use for now only from Pirelli and there are 3 compounds (hard, medium and soft) of the slick tyres and 2 for rainy weather, the full wets and the intermediate tyre.
It is more then just hop in a car and drive. That is why they have free practice sessions to get the car in right set-up for that track and driver.

Driver61 has a couple of great videos about the evolution of F1 cars, also about the evolution of power units/engines, helmets, cockpits, steering wheels...
