Bailey lost a loooot of weight recently, maybe that's a factor.

I agree with tuide. My issue isn't that they aren't good because they are good. But the girls can't execute the rhythm or groove. Its cute in theory but in practice it's not.

i think companies don‘t realize that starving their idols impacts their skills. im guessing bailey‘s, karina‘s and hyoyeon‘s changes in dancing might stem from all of them getting A LOT skinnier/muscle loss. (Bonus for hyoyeon it could also be age and exhaustion getting to her)

I don’t know much about dancing but ryujin from itzy seemed to have fallen off due to muscle loss

Winter style suits aespa, that's why she stand out but i have notice many times that ningning is always on toe to toe with karina and winter and even better sometimes..but people aren't ready for this conversation coz they believe in position given by company

5:28 it's especially frustrating that female idols, even when staying small, are not allowed to have visible muscle definition anywhere other than abs, which is definitely part of why so many female idols are accused of being "lazy dancers" when they likely don't have the muscle support that could allow them to execute the choreography more easily, not to mention how a better muscle foundation also makes singing, especially belting easier

I just realized the Hyoyeon video with Gabee wasn't recent, it just recently resurfaced but it's 3 years old 😅

6:41 TEN mentioned thank you for recognition his talents 💜💜🥹

Sometimes I wonder if every Aespa member has a separate dance instructor. Their styles are sooo different 😭

I would love to see some more covers from them. I still don't think I have an understanding of their skill levels.

Great video! I've felt this about Lisa for a while. Even since her solo era started, I had hoped she'd really show of her skills but instead dancing seems to be an afterthought? Not sure if that's the best idea considering that is her strongest skill.

Tbh i have also thought bailey lacks strength and power in her recent stuff

With Tuide, I agree how because companies want to churn out more groups and faster, it makes the members of the group take less time to grow their own style or even learn the dance or foundations of dancing in general properly. Kpop group dances has always been a memorising thing, dancing has become something to just memorise and not to feel. Tuide is sadly a product of it

Bailey becoming an idol and tuning down her style is the same reason why I'm scared that when Audrey Lane from Jam Republic debuts it'll be the same... you never know what they have to do to adapt into a "kpop" style, they always lose a bit of essence and don't explore as much.

I also commented this on the short but I think tuide would also benefit from developing muscles they seem so skinny and I think kpop and honestly the whole industry including west too has a thing where they want unconventional things to fit a conventional standard when it being unconventional is the backbone of the art

(I know they may be naturally skinny sorry if it seems like im assuming things)

I would love to see full analysis on TEN. His versatility and control are pretty impressive.

lock in divas new facts in fiction video just dropped 🍿🍿🍿🍿

Maybe do a MD+ video comparison and analysis, how focuses have changed over generations, trends you notice in MDs in newer gen etc. even how their training background are different across gen and what this shows. I also looked at the spreadsheet and I think it’s interesting how certain groups might not have MD+ but they still give impression of a great dance/performance group - perhaps even commentary on having a MD+ in groups. Some older groups like SM like having an ace where they will throw almost any dance related duties to them (variety shows/solo dances etc). Or even how having a MD+ affects the group - boon or bane, especially in ADP case where sometimes the difference looks very obv. Is the only way to prevent that to dumb down difficulty level (like snsd)

Excellent video as always!!

Regarding Taemin, I watched some of the analysis video you made on him a few years ago, and when I look at him then vs now, I don’t think he’s as impressive as he used to be, especially with so many new talents entering MD+

As for Tuide, I’m curious to see if they continue to use house in their choreography (and if they improve in it or receive further training in it, which imo they definitely need) or if they’ll use more traditional commercial choreo

psychic fever love is so appreciated!! 💚💚💚A lot of jpop idols have solid hip hop foundations
