The “I hope I mattered” line hit me hard.

I said on the other video, I'll say it here, the eulogy was what tipped John towards taking the ring.  And it was the first time he chose that life for himself, because of how glowingly Hal write about the honour of being a Lantern.  Dude wants to live up to that and part of it is not letting this be the end of Hal's legacy, and making his own as he does that with the Halogram guiding him because we know he doesn't trust the Guardians to do it any more.

Keep in mind Hal’s death was kept under wraps for a few days so the rest of the world wasn’t aware of his death

53:11 I’m dead! 💀🥀 “Do we, Motherf*cker?!”
I replayed this part several times. 😂

Did anyone notice there was a snowstorm that had 1/2 foot of snow at the football field and Hal's house, and then a few hours later when John wakes up, the snow is gone?
There was another issue too...
Prior to that, when John gets the call from his mother and she says Hal always has a late night dinner at the diner.  John then departs to drive to Rushville they emphasize how long the drive takes to get there. He leaves in the afternoon, and then there are multiple scenes of John driving.  He arrives at Hal's late night dinner and  punches Hal, and then he seems like he is home in no time at all.   He pours himself a drink and his phone reads 4-03AM  when Sheriff Kane calls, and he is back in Rushville in what seems like no time at all and its snowing.... and again the snow is mysteriously gone just a few hours later.

14:36 EXACTLY!!! HE WANTED THE RING TO SOLVE THE MURDER, but when people say he was there to steal the ring, it puts that connotation of him being a bad person or doing something wrong, words are weapon, choose them wisely......

The Guardians WANTED John to be a GL. So even if he DOES use a lantern to charge up Hal's ring (and yes, they'll know because it draws power from the master ring on Oa), they might not mind because it gets them what they wanted: John as a GL.

Holy shiii... another Mr. Know it all sighting on SC... ❤

Sinestros race the korugans ages  similar to humans but since he spend a lot of time traversing the universe at faster-than-light speeds and living in alternate dimensions it results in relative time dilation that leaves him physically much younger than his actual age

Hey Know it all!!!!!

Commenting on what was said here: I grew up in a town of 1000 people. When the population dropped below 1000, the town didn't change the sign because it was embarrassing to admit to the world that it had dropped from 4 digits to only 3. So they just left up a sign that exaggerated the true population. To me, it's no wonder that Rushville didn't update the sign even after so many people left.

26:01 if Hal found Abin Sur’s ship, that could lead to him understanding why the Manhunter did what it did, finding out what Noah is, and a web of connections that would wrap up some of that. Just a thought

The real Hal shot a clone Hal.

I love all these commenters- I just found mr. Know it all! He's great ❤

Rushville had like a utopia under Zoe.

53:11 LMAOOOOOO what possessed Ryan just now?!

For anybody hating on this show, remember: DC stands for DETECTIVE Comics...ijs lol

28:30 what a great observation about John's dad and him possibly being who killed Hal!!!

If the Lantern’s in the storage unit, that’d be weird, because in order to charge the ring with it John would have to say the oath, and saying the oath would turn him into a Latern, which he currently does not want to be, so it would not make a lot of narrative sense. The main thing I’m scratching my head on (with only 2 episodes left) is exactly how in the hell is John Stewart becoming a Green Lantern? Is it even happening this season?

Mr. Know it all!!
